Hi, I need a design of a monochromator (an instrument that breaks light and passes only light of a specific wavelength) (for more info/standard designs, google for 'monochromator' and select images) The total light wavelength range used is 300nm till 750nm The bandwidth (slit) of light I want to come though is a 50nm range And I want to be able to move that window(slit) of 50nm in steps of 2nm or 3nm So eg. I want to start with the range 300?350nm than I can move it up to 302 till 352, again increase by 2nm so to 304 to 354, etc all the way to 750 Also we need a lot of light. Think of 20 high power leds (white rebel leds, at 500mA each) we can feed in directly (preferred), or via fiber (to discuss). For datasheet on leds look here:   [obscured]  /products/luxeon-rebel/luxeon-rebel-white We are looking for a design that is relatively low cost to make. Control by steppermotor or servo. I'm expecting: -a part list of the components, where I can buy them and their p...

Have 3 key injection molded plastic parts that work together as a (patented) system. Material is 30% glass filled nylon. It is an outdoor application and need to model stress/failure under wind force loads. Have step files for key parts. Looking to have FEA done and improvements suggested based on results. There is a 5/8" fiberglass rod that attaches to the bracket and holds a banner and the wind force is applied to that rod. Videos of the system in action are available to help understand.

This project is new construction. The architectural work is substantially complete and we have CAD. It is a 20 BR/BA group home, one level, with approx 15,000 sq feet. Each room is to have its own controls. There are large common areas. It is to be located in a temperate area with 4 seasons, so heat and cooling is equally a concern, as is the desire for air flow. Apart from that, we are seeking an expert with a general concept that we would select to design and create the documents for the construction of the system. The CAD will be shared in the discussion process. Edited: Proposals should list the type of system(s) you would consider that meet the objective of individual suite temperature control, while also work within the physical parameters of the site and, are a reasonably affordable option. By reasonable, we mean for you to estimate what you think the materials and labor would cost on a scale of 1 to 10 where 1 is $50k and 10 is $150k. The physical restrictions of the home...

I am trying for a second time to find a freelancer that can provide mechanical, electrical, programming, and render for a unique idea. We have an idea for a device that can automatically measure and inject detergent, cell phone alert app. to provide alerts when laundry is done, remote programmable, pre-load liquid and powdered detergent to eliminate measurement and save costs. The system will then automatically inject into a washing machine based on computer program. The device must be able to be controlled by an electronic keypad and easy to use. It must also be able to be controlled remotely. It must be easy for even a child. Deliverable will be: 1. 3D CAD model 2. 3D CAD assembly 3. 2D drawing with general dimensions and specification ready for manufacturing 4. 2D drawing of the assembly with BOM(Bill of Materials) 5. 2D drawing for patent application. 6. Electronic PCB 7. Software Skills required: Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Sof...

Have hand drawn sketches.. Need to put into 2D CAD format for Patent application. I need the attached 3 drawings converted into a CAD drawing with the following guidelines: 1. Drawings formatted for 8.5" x 11" paper. 2. The required margins are, top 1", left side 1", right side 3/4", and bottom 3/8". This refers to the portrait orientation for the sheet and does not change if the drawing is in landscape orientation. Everything, including sheet numbering must be within the margins. 3. The drawings generally must be black and white line drawings. We should avoid shading, it should not be necessary for these views. 4. The safe way to handle sectioning is just to use solid diagonal lines. 5. Reference numbers must be 1/8" high. Use Arial 12pt for reference numbers, Arial 14pt for sheet numbers, and Arial 24pt for Figure numbers. 6. The drawings can be "diagrammatic" meaning not scaled representations of the ob...

Our project is very simple, the general idea is to produce a product that can rise up a board (a wood piece) to as high as 25" from as low as from 2-3 inches without any electronic components involve but yet it is stable from collapsing. The wood board also can be locked at any height between 2-3" to approximately 25". The materials uses can be just wood or metal/wood, we are open for discussion after you learn all the details. In fact, there are tons of mechanism already exist on the market to work exactly like ours. This project is more like a modification of an existing method to meet our product requirements. If you can do the product design as well, it is a huge plus. So that your right brain and left brain can work together instead of going back and forth with the product designer. If not, no worry, we will hire a product designer here and you just work on the mechanical part is also fine. Please be aware, I am a designer myself, I have a high expectation on ...

Overview We have a product which has been manufactured in the prototype stage. The documentation is not clear. We need to get the documentation back cleaned up for a manufacturable product. We will do this in several stages. Stage 1 (estimated time 8-16 hours) Get a workable cad model in Solidworks of current parts. We have pictures and cad files. IGES The iges files do not translate well. They need to be brought into Solidworks, then saved as Step files, then brought back into Solidworks. This converts the bad geometry. DXF Compare these with IGES models and note any differences. Pictures Compare these with IGES models and note any differences. Stage 2 Stage 2 is dependent on the success of Stage 1. It will involve getting the correct motor and gears into the model. Stage 3 This will involve getting the plastic skins on the machine.

I need a ME to design a mechanism that would go in the arm of a foam bed lounger that would allow a tray type piece to be attached to the arm of a structured foam arm that would have a sturdy clip to hold a plastic or light weight wooden tablet tray that could be adjusted slightly only for the users needs. It's a retail product that we sold for years with a over hanging snake light. I want to eliminate the light and and electric components in the lounger and instead have it be able to hook a removable tablet tray to the left arm
