Looking for someone with advanced FEA skills to create a model of a simple impact socket wrench having specific material and dimensions properties (supplied), and then simulate an air impact wrench loading on this socket for the purpose of optimizing the mass of the socket for a specific target load. Modeling the load of an impact wrench is not simple and built in features in AutoCAD are not what we want. This is not the same as a static load, hence the need for someone with the advanced knowledge to model this correctly and simulate needed conditions. Details of hammer mass inside the impact wrench are different for every brand and model, so will need to be approximated. We can supply ballpark figures of rotational load and spikes of impact typical to an average model. Resistance to spinning is based on thread friction between bolt and nut and given CoF with no lubricant.
