Hi, I'm a resident of Hong Kong and I would like to start selling my products in the US through Amazon FBA. Since Hong Kong does not have tax treaty with the US so I believe that I will be subject to double tax. I'm thinking of forming a BVI company solely for selling on Amazon by FBA to avoid paying for taxes both in Hong Kong and in the US. However, BVI is very difficult to open bank account in Hong Kong. Assuming BVI company do not have to pay tax in the US, do I must have a bank account for my BVI to do business because Amazon allow you to use any bank account to receive money and I know that I can register a BVI company with Amazon as their vendor. I would like to seek professional opinion before forming a business entity. Is BVI company my best option? Please let me know what is your consultation fee for your professional opinion. My company, Evoke Socks, has been in business for almost exactly a year. Evoke Socks sells socks through our website online, Fancy.com, and some smaller wholesale accounts.
