In short, my company raises money for charities by charging our clients' debit/credit cards. The issue is how do we effectively get this money to charities, so that our client's can receive the entire tax credit for their contribution. For example, a client donates 100.00 on their debit card and: 1) We take the money and put it where? To ourselves or to a third party who can handle this and then distribute directly to the nonprofit? 2) We are taking a small transaction fee of 10% plus the 2.9% that goes to the credit card company. 3) How can a company like Venmo or Square Cash help us achieve this, if at all?
