I have a small real estate company. I buy, rehab, and sell homes. I have one employee starting shortly. I need someone to do our books properly. We plan on doing only 6-8 homes per year. We will have payroll for one person, income for myself, and the rest will be contractors we hire for jobs. Our one employee will be paid weekly. We have an accountant that does our end of year taxes, because we have other businesses, trusts, etc. and they all get pulled together and paid by some other companies. We just need to make sure we have good books and payroll throughout the year. I own QB2013 Premier. We will initially need our QB setup properly as well as the data from 2014 done. We had no income in 2014 and didn't file a return, but we probably should have that info completed and filed to make sure the IRS doesn't give us trouble.
