Our landlord is a large corporation. They are not renewing the lease and my experience has been negative in all correspondence. They have $2500 as a security deposit and I will be using this as part payment towards the last 19 days of the lease and also anything left over can go towards damages (although there will not be any) I want to send a letter to pre- empt any much larger issues. The letter would be along the following lines You provided us notice to vacate the property on 19th October. We will be out by this date and will leave the keys and the passes on the table. We will not claim the security deposit back from you. We suggest you leave part of the payment for ?the remainder of the month and put the rest towards any damages. Please note the following: 1.
