I have a case where a traffic ticket was appealed. The DA continues to use the defendant's old address, even though they have been notified multiple times of the new address. This has caused late filings for the defendant, as well as missed ones. Once the case moved to the Appellate division, the DA responded to the Brief and served the defendant at the old (more than 6 months) address, even though the brief filed by the defendant clearly had the defendant's correct address. I need someone to research and give me some California cases (Superior Court), where the case was dismissed because one party served the wrong address. Preferably when the state served the wrong address, but either party. I'm needing cases to reference in a motion to dismiss.

I need someone to represent my modest British company in the Small Claims/ or Mediation court to claim money from a client who owes my company around 700 + 70 in MCOL fees and late fees. Location and date to be confirmed. Currently we are at the stage when the defendant needs to send the Directions Questionnaire. A reminder should have been sent to him on 23rd Feb but MCOL is under-staffed so this should happen this week and then the defendant has another 7 days to respond stating his preference for either mediation or small claims court. We have all the paperwork to prove that this person owes us the money. Job start date is an approximate date. We are waiting to hear from MCOL. Please can you bid based on your total cost to do this and past experience. Many thanks

Case in a nutshell - A classic case of taking advantage of founder business inexperience to acquire an unexcavated goldmine at minimum cost. "Company" was incorporated as a Delaware C-Corporation in 2012 with three co-founders (initially owning 31%, 17% and 17% of company shares). Jeff, a successful businessman, was brought in by the founders to help set up the company (10% share). Jeff brought in Bruce to run the company (for 10% + salary). As CEO, Bruce mismanaged the company and squandered investor funds (approximately $3.7M). Sitting on the board for nearly two years, Jeff supported him solidly. The founders finally acted to remove Bruce (March 2014)through expanding the board. After making some noises and attacking the founders, Jeff voted to remove Bruce. About two months later, Jeff left the board (spearheading an exodus of board members) and suddenly "discovered" that the company was nearly insolvent. Jeff portrayed the founders as wrong doers and cham...

I am in Alabama and I've just filed a civil suit pro say against a small service co. The defendant is represented by a lawyer. I am quite confident I can prevail. However, I am not a lawyer and so, I would like to get someone to review my case and provide me with an unbiased assessment and some pointers and guidance with certain pretrial motions like Interrogatories, request for production, etc. as well as possibly some help in researching certain case precedents to support some of my arguments. I would prefer a lawyer or paralegal familiar with Alabama civil litigation. This can be either a fixed price or hourly rate project. We can decide this at time of project awarding

Established llc partner and company seeks a business savvy go getter to assist in a existing case. We are currently using high end attorneys but can not keep up with the super high priced costs. We are located in Westlake Village, CA all leg work has been done on the case. We also have a well established retired business attorney who can help advise whomever we hire of the situation etc. This is a great case for any young attorney looking to gain some experience. Hello. I work in conjunction with a Florida attorney who has been hired by a major construction equipment rental company. There are contractors in Maryland who have not paid for their rental charges and as you know, to enforce a mechanic's lien in the state, there must be the filing of a Petition to Establish and Enforce the Mechanic's Lien, as opposed to simply filing the mechanics lien in the recorder's office. Unlike a contractors claim which is usually right with defenses such as untimeliness, defective workmanship, non-code compliance, change orders, and the like, these cases are essentially defenseless. It is simply a collection effort. The rental company will probably have a couple of these a month, plus or minus, and we need a Maryland licensed attorney to file and prosecute the actions. I have a law degree and I can actually prepare the paperwork for your review to save you costs. You don't have to be an expert in the field, but simply have some familiarity with the process...

(Please only Licensed Attorneys in OHIO should respond.) We are a 27 year national specialty construction firm looking for an affordable alternative to a traditional attorney for two pieces of litigation we intend to file in Ohio. (One Central Eastern Ohio and the second in North Western Ohio) Both are construction business contract litigation and in both cases the defendant will be a Town, VIllage or Public entity. It is our belief that both clients will settle shortly upon our filing our lawsuits. We want to find an individual who will allow us to prepare draft forms of our filings and then shepard the cases through the proper venues. If things go to trial we will have our local attorney be certified to work with you in the courtroom. If you are interested please advise.
