I need to identify an individual who has been slandering people on the internet. The process to do this, is to issue subpoenas to the different platforms on the internet the person has been slandered on(commonly known as John Doe Subpoenas), to identify the person committing the crime. If there is a proxy or some other method being used to cover to attempt to hide the IP address, then the individual hired for this job, would issue subpoenas to uncover who is using the proxy address, after uncovering what proxy company is being used. Then once the IP address is discovered, a subpoena would be issued to the internet provider to uncover who the person is. In order to make sure the future plaintiff is unaware of the subpoenas being issued, a motion to not have the "John Doe" notified of the subpoenas would need to be filed.
