This request is to do a literature review on all available research and/or articles on measuring, modeling and predicting customer attitudes towards products and services. For example, the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) is one predominant model that uses several factors to calculate an index value for private and public companies. This index is then linked to customers' engagement and purchase of a company's product and services. Additional research has also been done to rebut portions and refine the factors and linkages between factors in the ACSI causal model. Most notably, the model does not capture viral or word of mouth effects very well as these only became predominant in the 21st century as technology companies exploited these factors. Net Promoter Score is one method that is commonly used to capture this measurement. This is then loosely combined with viral mathematical models in some cases.
