Am looking for help in an excel spreadsheet design which can help a loan officer educate his clients on comparing taking out a mortgage vs paying cash. the spreadsheet would allow for inputting the following: Loan amount Mortgage interest rate Term Investment rate of return (If one decides to not pay cash, take out mortgage, and invest their funds vs paying cash) Tax bracket I would want columns for the amortization and columns for the compounded returns going for up to 360 lines (months) so I can show a client month by month how borrowing and investing compares to paying cash.
