When the light bulb blows out, the device automatically switches the power to a backup light bulb.

We are seeking an MCU programmer to work with HART industrial protocol specification to create the software to control a device that converts temperature sensor signal to an analog output of 4-20mA, with a low-level digital (HART) signal superimposed over it. You will not need to write temperature conversion code, as we already have it. It's in assembly language, and you will have to integrate it into C code for the HART protocol part of the total MCU program. The HART protocol part will be an implementation of a limited number of standard HART functions, namely for data transmission and control by master device (portable configurator/communicator). I'm working on a side project that is a wearable device. I'm working with an electrical engineer on the circuitry, and I myself am a software and interactive design engineer. I need occasional advice on some industrial-design-engineering components of the device. These components tend to interface with the electronics on a slightly industrial level, like the housing for a button, the casing for the device, or available displays to achieve a goal given compact size requirements. Sometimes slightly more electrical, like "is there an analog meter that is thin that I could use to do this?" So I think it could be wise to bring in the advice/time of an industrial design engineer.
