I am looking to begin a long-term relationship with an artistic and stylish graphic/fashion designer to create a line of luxury T-shirts. By luxury, I mean the sort of T-shirt you see in the lines of luxury brands such as Versace and Armani. To start with, I would like to see some designs based on the attached image. The base shirt should be black or dark grey, and I imagine it having mostly blank space, with this simple line design somewhere on the front. While I do not want a photographic copy of the image onto the shirt, I would like to see us reproduce the style and proportions of the original art as much as possible. Notice how some of the lines are a little faded while others are more bold. Some of the hits (this is rock art) go in one direction, others in other directions, like brush-strokes. I don't know how much of this creative energy can be captured on fabric; that's where your expertise comes in. If this project succeeds in creating a shirt I would wear with an Arma...

Hello! So, the project is to design the art for my band's forthcoming debut CD. The name of my band is Claiming Neptune. You can check us out claimingneptune.com and hear our demo recordings. Anyway, as for the direction we'd like to go...for the CD cover, we'd like to do something abstract, yet fun and approachable. Almost kind of a tattoo art style...which of course can be a lot of things, but I guess what I mean is that whatever the design ends up being, we hope it would be something that would look good etched into someone's skin :-) Thematically, considering our name, you may want to venture into space, planets, stars and moons, etc. And certainly, we wouldn't be opposed to something like that, but we also don't want you to feel limited if you think you have a better visual concept.
