My company is based in Quebec, Canada, and I am in the process of shutting down. I would like to hire a lawyer that can assist me with the provincial and federal government filings and paperwork. I don't think it should be complicated, but I am not sure how to proceed. It is not a bankruptcy... just shutting down the business and moving on to other things. The business has been inactive for several years. Looking forward to working with you :-)

The alternative is to reach a settlement agreement. My other questions involve, how long before the money that is frozen is actually released to the defendant? And what are the chances that the court would reconsider this matter on the basis that I was never properly served? The matter at hand involves a signed contract w...

A corrupt trustee handled this case, working with a cooperating judge. Your assignment is to research the case, identify violations of law and court procedure that violated the defendant's civil rights, including being unjustifiably imprisoned, placed under house arrest, and other deprivations, including seizure of all his assets. The purpose of this research is to provide a litigation attorney all the material he needs to file a lawsuit against the US Government for unjustified harassment, imprisonment, violation of court procedures, etc., and unlawful seizure of assets, to enable the attorney to arrive at a damages settlement on this matter. You must have unlimited access to Lexis-Nexis, or to any database that will enable you to perform the task professionally. In addition, you must be solidly knowledgeable in US bankruptcy law and procedures.
