K6 is a specialist Industrial Design consultancy and we are looking to add to the sub-contractors we work with. Presently we need additional support in electronic design and manufacture which is quite a broad heading. An example of a typical project might be an embedded system, connected to the outside world via a 3G modem (module designed onto a custom pcb), a number of IO lines running bespoke software. These solutions form part of complete products that we design and then manufacture in small volumes. If you would like to work with us, let us know and we will send you a brief for our next project. Please ignore the payment range - I had to enter something!

Design the circuit and find the components necessary to create a device that can activate any of six wireless buzzers using Bluetooth 4.0 at the press of a button. Ideal range would be over 100 ft (30 m). The base unit will have 6 buttons on it that each correspond to a specific buzzer. When a button is pressed the first time, it's corresponding buzzer will begin to make noise. When the button is pressed a second time, the buzzer will stop sounding. Also, the buzzer will need to stop when it is pressed by the user, or after a set amount of time. The base unit can be powered either by battery or 120 Volt wall plug. Further details can be discussed upon request. Please send an estimate of how many hours this will take and your hourly wage request with any responses.

Driving Sensor: Scope of Project 1.0 Introduction of Project: Design and build a driver sensor prototype, which is a system of multiple measuring sensors to determine a drivers height and hand position while driving 2.0 Scope of Project: The software/hardware system will allow a driver to drive normally while the system tracks the position data. Utilizing an ultrasonic measuring sensor the seat height can be determined. Utilizing multiple force sensor resistors (FSR's) the drivers hand position can be tracked. The position data will be saved on a SD card to be downloaded to a computer after the session. 3.0 Hardware Specs: Driver Seat: Height Sensor: Ultrasonic rangefinder wired to system Steering Wheel: 16 Round FSR Sensors located around a steering wheel wired to system The sensor will need to be built into a steering wheel cover (size TBD) Data Logging system: Arduino Mega or Due (Microprocessor) Data Logger Shield or USB SD card adapter for Due RTC real time counter to tim...

I have an idea and concept for a new electronic beauty product for hair. I have diagrams and an idea of how this would work , however I need someone who is able to look at rough drawings of new product idea, and work out how they would be made and create a prototype of the product. Target audience: women of all ages, mainly from teenagers and all ages up Messages to communicate through the design: I'd like this to look easy to operate, one of the main features of the product is that it is making certain hair styling techniques very easy and quicker to do, so it would be great if the aesthetics of the product could reflect that. I'd also like it to be relatively lightweight, and sleek. Ideas for the visual style: black, sleek , lightweight.

Currently have a two jointed (two axis) armature controlled by RC servos. The servos are currently controlled with sevo controllers but I would like a gyroscope to move the sevos automatically to keep the cameral platform level when moving the stick around. Also would like some kind of switch to turn the gyroscope off and move the sevos manually with the servo controllers. I would prefer if off the shelf or commercially available parts were used. There are several types of inexpensive gyroscopes available. The ultimate long term goal is mass production of this unit.

We need a high efficiency AC Solid State Relay (SSR) for a 120-600 VRMS (40 A max) load. Currently, we are using a triac output which has an approximate 1.1V drop during conduction, or roughly 42W of power being dissipated by the relay at maximum load. I want to drive this power dissipation down to 1W for the relay so we will need to go to a different relay design. The trigger voltage will be 3-32V DC. The dV/dt value must be greater than 600 V/us and be able to withstand transients and an electrically noisy environment. The bid should include design, simulation, prototyping and measurements taken directly from the design.

Our functional board must be resized for a new enclosure. Aspects of the design, such as power supply, are to be verified and improved where necessary. Our objective is to obtain a commercially viable board suitable for our consumer product. There should be an option to allow the device to be operated remotely via a blue tooth or WiFi module.

Circulate design is a new website looking to provide helpful information to people wanting to learn product and electronic design. We primarily offer design services but hope to expand into a community based platform where like minded people can share ideas and offer assistance to develop gadgets and gizmos. A drawcard to the website is to be a series of articles and tutorials that we wish to update initially on a weekly basis. We are looking for a article writer who has a passion and skills in electronics or product design who is patient and willing to help us get a few articles under our belt before we launch. You will be paid per article, and given topics to write on initially. These topics will be along the lines of; - Soldering tips - Programming a microcontroller - Circuit board layout - Manufacturing circuit boards - Testing your design - Servo control systems The articles should be original content, but can refer to other website tutorials and guides with proper references...
