We require the development and construction of a small sensor to help track people's drinking patterns. This is development is to build a prototype. The idea is to have a sensor that is a stick on that can be attached on a drinking device (glass, cup, bottle, drink can etc) to track ones drinking patterns over time. Think of the sensor as Nike+ sensor but for drinking. The sensor core requirements are: 1. Capture sensor data inputs (eg gyroscope, temperature, accelerometer) 2. Develop business rules to evoke an action (if this, than that) 3. Capture and transmit data wirelessly to mobile or web. User application: 1. User sticks sensor on any drinking device 2. User programs via mobile app or web interface their reminder needs and create an event; to track (i.e. remind me to drink every 2 hours, remind me if drink gets cold or warm) 3. Battery Cells/Pack will consist of 18650/18350 batteries Receiver: Charging circuit for a battery by using magnetic induction. Depending on the design of the charging circuit the battery/pack could be enclosed inside a sealed double walled nonferrous metal tube. The outer tube exterior dimensions measures approximately .65" (+/- 10% exact dimensions have not been finalized). The battery being charged will be Li-ion or Li-ion polymer. Transmitter: No specific design requirements on the transmitter at this time, other than it must work with the receiver. Second charging circuit to allow for charging from a USB plugged into a computer. The USB port on the device must still be able to function as an input/output for data communication.
