Hey, I am working on a project to teach computers on how to value different pieces of equipment used in construction projects. I have information about specifications of about 400,000 pieces of equipment and their selling prices. I need to build a model so that when I input the specifications into the computer it spits out the price. This will just be a consultation via a phone call (for an hour or so) on how I can do this. I will send you a list of 15-20 questions (maybe more) that I want answered. I will do this after you bid for the job and your experience matches my criteria. I want to use Microsoft Azure infrastructure to develop the model. Multiple elancer's will be selected for paid consultation and one person will be awarded the contract to actually work on the model (down the road). Thanks.

We are trying to predict the average value of a user arriving on a category on our website. The competition: The data is segmented to three pieces: train, test and validation. The train and test data are in the train_data.csv and contains labeled data. The validation data, is the one you are tested upon, and you'll receive only an un-labeled dataset, where we have a labeled dataset. Once you complete your modeling and submit your results it will be tested against the labeled validation data. The winner is the one who gets the lowest wMSE over the validation dataset, will get a 300$ Bonus. The daily winner will get a 15$ bonus. The minimum requirements of every submission is to be better than the last version you've submitted and to be better than model 0, a very basic model we've created which should not be hard to over come. If you'll meet the minimum requirements(Send a better prediction than the model 0, and the R code file) you'll be awarded with 50$ once during the competitio...

Our company manufacturers and distributes novelty products and socks sold in major retailers, department stores, giftstores, boutiques, grocery stores, and drug stores across the USA. We sell collegiate, pro, and character licensed product, as well as non-licensed. We've tried managing our own Amazon business, and we've tried outsourcing the management to a company, both with mediocre results. We want to contract with an expert to create, maintain, consult, and manage our Amazon stores. Make a proposal. Our preference is fee + commission model, or a pure commission model if you're willing to take the risk for potential sky-high commissions. Our bricks-and-mortar product sales are taking off, and can be found in nearly 10,000 retail outlets across the USA. I'll be happy to share more info about our company with qualified freelancers, and to share sales data once an NDA is signed.

Hi, Here is out requirement, please let me know if you know exactly how to do this: what we are trying to do is take a SSAS cube and/or Tabular data model and feed in a username (corner/amy_smith) and have the cube return only the specific records that the user should see. We are planning on using Datazen and/or PowerView for the frontend. What we are struggling with are 3 things: 1. The right data model method to use (Tabular or cube) 2. The right way to take our custom security model (6 different delimiters, stored procedures return lists of claims) and use it to limit the claims 3. Implementing the view or whatever of the security model in the actual data model The passing of the username from the front-end should be pretty straightforward.

I need the following questions answered based on a data set that I have available: a. Explore the numerical predictors and response (FARE) by creating a correlation table and examining some scatterplots between FARE and those predictors. What seem to be the best single predictor of FARE? b. Explores the categorical predictors by computing the percentage of flights in each category. Which categorical predictors seems best for predicting FARE? c. Find a model for predicting the average fare on a new route: i. Convert categorical variables into dummy variables. Then, partition the data into training and validation sets. The model will be fit to the training data and evaluated on the validation set. ii. Use stepwise regression to reduce the number of predictors. Ignore the first four predictors (S-CODE, S_CITY, E_CODE, E_CITY). Report the estimated model selected. iii. Repeat (ii) using exhaustive search instead of stepwise regression. Compare the resulting best model to the one you obtai...
