it is solar energy coursework ...It is estimated that Glasgow will need 3.2 x 107 MWh per year of electricity in 2017. A plan to meet this demand completely by solar energy is to be evaluated. Assume fixed solar panels of efficiency 20% and the ground reflection (albedo) to be 0.2. 1. Find the ideal tilt and azimuth angle for Glasgow. 2. What is the average daily electricity demand? 3. Which day of the year has the lowest number of daylight hours? How many hours of daylight are there on that day? 4. Between the sunrise hour angle and sunset hour angle, using an Excel spread sheet calculate at equal steps of 7.5o hour angles: (a) The zenith angle. (b) The angle of incidence. (c) The global irradiance. (d) The total irradiance. (e) The time average of the total irradiance (f) The answer from (e) multiplied by the number of daylight hours. 5. Find the total area of solar photovoltaic that would be required to meet the demand on this day. Write a brief report (approx. 1500 words plus any o...

As you know, big box stores demand very low cost electronic gadgets. Often consumers will enjoy using an electronic gadget for a few minutes, and then will discard the gadget. Dichroic lcds require voltages > 9V. 9V driver chips are expensive, and chips suitable to drive 3V TN lcds will not handle voltages greater than 5V or 6V. I want you to write up a basic BOM. After I approve BOM, you can also make the schematic and gerbers. I need you to be creative, to "put your thinking cap on", and suggest a VERY LOW COST pcba to drive a single dichroic lcd pixel off and on, like a simple flasher circuit. The precision of the timing of the flashing off and on is not important. Square wave is best but not required. Direct drive is OK, but a multiplexing rate of 16 flashes per second or 32 flashes per second reduces battery consumption substantially. If a pcba with direct drive is lower cost than a pcba with multiplexing, I would prefer a direct drive pcba. For example, in...

Create the geometry of a rectangular Tank, dimesntions are Length = 1m Breath = 0.1 m Height = 0.98 m Simulate sloshing using Star CCM+ of membrane tank with swash bulkhead .The tank will be move in sway direction (left and right) which will cause the water inside the tank to slosh. Using VOF method, gravity, multiphase and VOF waves to set the ratio of air and fluid (just a suggestion). The boundary will be all walls as the fluid inside the tank is fixed. This is a PCB design job. And I want you to use PADS for both schematic and layout design. The PCB is a PCIe card. I'm going to use the XR17V352 (PCIe-UART bridge) for PCIe interface. And the UART will be connected to microZED module. Simply say, This is for giving PCIe interface to microZED through UART interface. I want 2 UART connection to be connected between PCIe and microZED. I can't give you more information of XR17V352 because I couldn't find a reference schematic of it. And I want you to have some knowledge about the Zynq which is the SoC on the microZED because you need to understand it how to make the UART connection. It is basically nothing but a PCIe to UART bridge circuit attaching microZED carrier to the UART interface. So I want it cost effective, i.e. 2-layer design.

I am looking for an electrical engineer to design an electrical control box for an oven. I will need detailed specifications that I can use for taking in offers for parts and/or a fully assembled control box. Delivery is a list of components and schematics for wiring. We will only be making a few of this machine at this time, so I think it would be better to use PLC:s rather than PCB:s. The box will control one motor and two heating element arrays. The motor will need adjustable speed and soft start. The motor will also work and pause in intervals. The element arrays will be controlled individually and by a common thermostat. The elements will also be controlled with a timer. The machine will need an emergency kill-switch that turns everything(motor&elements) off Attached is a schematic representation of our system and our needs

This job focuses on achieving the best design for the product I have in mind. In this case the final design of the product is strongly related to the orientation and design of the chosen electrical components. I need consultation and direction on the electrical design and after that I need to narrow down the best design. I have some concepts in mind, but I need professional input. Only after the final design is reached, I will need a 3D rendering of the product. Details will be disclosed upon signing an NDA.

We're are looking at building a dodecahedron speaker with integrated amplifier and noise source. The 12 identical speakers have an impedance of 8ohms each and maximum input power of 100W RMS but 20-30W per driver should suffice to achieve an overal SPL > 100dB @1m as the driver sensitivity is stated as 85dB/1W. An integrated pink or white noise source is a bonus. Space is of the essence as we want to integrate the amplifier within the dodecahedron if possible. The brief is to design and build the first and hopefully final version of this amplifier (we will build the dodec and source the required speakers).

This is the job sample you agreed to do for $15. A hand drawing (pen & ink or blocks of color) of the outside of a factory, (sketch to be reproduced is attached.) I will also attach a sample of the style we are looking for. The final has to be much wider that tall? 400px high -1600px wide Different areas of the drawing will need to be labeled with these: "Energy" "Facilities" "Materials and Waste" "Supply Chain" No specific dimensions are needed, this is art only, not a real building that will ever be built. Some clarifications: (please look up pictures of google if you don't know what these are.) On left - that is a rail car shipping container. On roof - that is a vertical spiral wind turbine On roof - cross in circle = landing pad for drones. On right - Co-generation power engine to generate electricity from natural gas.

Hi I'm a high school IT teacher looking to make my classes more interesting using electronics, something I've never learned myself. I'm looking for someone who can help me create 12 video tutorials for my classes - what the projects are, you can help me decide. The main thing is to get students hooked on the projects. e.g. connecting arduino with twitter. Currently we have a basic arduino kit to work with, willing to purchase more bits and pieces if necessary. Also have a 3D printer. Timeline is flexible, to start in the next 3 weeks and to finish within 4 weeks. If interested, please let me know your cost and a couple of your ideas. Thank you

I have a patent on a CEILING FAN product I created some years ago. I want to create a sleek, more refined prototype proving the concept. This is the Abstract of the Patent: A fan blade assembly having both an electrical connection and a mechanical connection to a rotating hub. The assembly is configured so that a single installation motion creates the mechanical connection and the electrical connection. The electrical connection preferably includes multiple independent conductor paths. You can find a link to the patent here:   [obscured]  /patents/US20110085908 The project is for the design/prototyping of a fully working ceiling fan with detachable electrical/mechanical blades with LED embedded.

Hi, this project is about developing 3 micro circuits (1 of them is remote controller). I need developer to make the following microcircuit: 1) Micro circuit with LED lights strip (6 LEDs) remotely turned on and freezing for 8 seconds, and then self shutting down. size: 80x30x8mm max Working Voltage - 12V max 2) Micro circuit with LED lights strip (6 LEDs) remotely turned on and freezing for 8 seconds, and then self shutting down, size: 80x30x8mm max Working Voltage - 12V max 3) Micro remote control (not IR), it is desirable to radio waves (or Bluetooth). Which will operate at a distance of 10 meters (max). The purpose of the remote control is to switch on LED lights described above. So remote control will have only 2 buttons (each button turns on each device with LED strip). size: 45x25x10mm. Working voltage - 3V max. Briefly, I need 2 separate devices, which controled by remote control (3rd device). Budget: TBD
