Job description: seeking a firmware or software developer who has experience with the ESP8266 WiFi module, and who will be responsible for developing a web-enabled acceleration sensor. Project: a WiFi-connected acceleration sensor that streams data to a connected web browser. In this device, the acceleration sensor (ADXL345) is connected by a 3-wire SPI interface to a WiFi module (ESP8266). This WiFi module contains an integrated microcontroller that must be configured to handle html requests, serve resulting data into formatted web pages back to the connected browser and control the sensor based on internal state, logic and html requests. The firmware will be released under the MIT license on our GitHub account or yours (your choice). We will ship hardware to you for both devices and links for all datasheets including the English ESP8266 datasheets, you will need to hook up data/power wires, what is additionally required from you is your own computer for development and a micro-USB ...

We are developing an integrated circuit board for remote data acquisition, and remote control of solid-state relays, for solar power systems in remote, off-grid healthcare facilities in sub-Saharan Africa. We call this circuitry the RMC Unit (Remote Monitor and Control). We have engaged a PCB design company to design the board. The RMC uses a variety of sensors to gather necessary data. Today. we need help in determining which sensors will be used, so that the PCB design firm can select the correct ports. Further, our in house team lacks experience in PCB design. We need someone with extensive experience who can answer questions and offer guidance. Experience developing relevant circuitry is crucial. Experience with sensors (voltage, current, and temperature) is important. As are basic programming skills. We are looking for an on-going working relationship. We expect to have further technical hurdles in the coming months for which we will need help. Feel free to contact ...

This is to hopefully find and start conversations with the right company/individual. We are looking for a firmware person to join our team for a security based project based upon a Zigbee mesh network. Experience in this type of topography required (including pairing, encryption, fail safe messaging, etc.). Also experience in Sharp's memory LCD (2.7") and either custom fonts or Ramtex icon and font package. Our current processor is a Microchip PIC8, which we need to upgrade to either a PIC16 (with enough RAM support to buffer display in memory) or switching all together to an ARM processor (which we would then need to scrap any code written so far). We are open to either a standard work for hire contract, or even possibly an equity/full time position with our company in Wisconsin or Remote. We are really looking to build a solid team of individuals as we launch this project over the next 6 months.

We are looking for a circuit designer to develop the circuit board diagram for a car crash notification sensor to be installed in vehicles. We have a functioning tessel prototype and want to move it to a dedicated chip that can be produced in a small (100 unit) manufacturing run. The necessary components are an accelerometer, a GPRS/GSM device, an SMS transmitter, and a power supply. Effectively, we want the device to send an SMS message to a preprogrammed number with the current cell tower data seen by the GPRS/GSM (2G/3G) once a specific accelerometer threshold is reached. This threshold will be determined both by magnitude and duration of the event (a car crash naturally). We are happy to communicate further and share the specs of our existing prototype - we just need help designing the circuitry for manufacture. A big part of this project would be creativity and flexibility. We know the inputs and outputs and are asking you to design the box - it's up to you how it's done. We h...

Hello there, My name is Drew & I design and work with analog video circuitry. I have a basic understanding of electronic circuit design, very basic, I am self taught. On my most recent design I've run into a problem that I cannot really explain and I am looking to get a professional take on my trouble. Long story short, I have a small video fx processor. On top of being a cool analog video device with a bunch of control knobs it features an audio input function. I have an audio input going to a TIP31 bipolar junction transistor which is amplifying my audio signal and driving my LED light to the db of the incoming audio signal. The goal is for this LED to be the LED portion of a vactrol. Upon driving the LED everything behaves as it should until suddenly at an unpredictable moment, while noodling around with the fx knobs on my unit (perhaps the LED lighting in conjunction with a particular knob position), the whole board goes bad. By bad I mean the LED keeps on blinking... but ...
