We were occupying an office space for about a year. The noise (from the pipes and elevator lift) was unbearable at 90 decibels which is technically considered a hazard within an office environment. We reached out to the owners many many times and they never took any action. (We have saved all the emails and can provide them to you once chosen for the job.) After a year of them doing nothing, and taking no measure to handle our needs, we decided to leave and move out. We were still stuck in our lease and they sent us a termination agreement stating they would allow us to go IF they can keep our 3,000$ security deposit. Not only should we not have to pay this $3,000, but They should be the ones compensating us for the stress, anxiety, and inconvenience of the space they rented to us (not to mention, at a high rent price.)
