We are looking for a legal person, ideally with background and experience in the movie industry and with passion for legal issues and movies. We are a small, first-time, independent film production, currently in the LLC formation for our first feature length documentary about our hearts. It is really important to us to find a 'perfect match' as this is will very likely neither be a short-term nor a one-time relationship/engagement. So we are really looking for a person who is seeking meaning more than money in their personal live. This project is currently bootstrapped and we are working towards launching a crowdfunding campaign in late Sept. Until then our budget is close to nothing, after that (goal is to raise between 50,000 and 100,000 in the first round ... with several rounds intended) we plan on approx. 10% of that budget being set aside for the 'legal dpt.'. You can watch the current stage of our early pre-production here: dawnofhearts.com (password: Ouabain) (It is really...

I'm creating a website called   [obscured]   The concept is that I'll take popular videos from YouTube and embed them into the site. I'll also have the option to have users submit their own videos. I'd like to be able to use these videos on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, my YouTube channel, etc. I'd like help writing a terms of use page and possibly a privacy page/ copywrite page. The website is through Wordpress. Here are a few examples of similar websites with their terms of use pages:   [obscured]  :   [obscured]  /terms-of-service/   [obscured]  :   [obscured]  /about/terms   [obscured]  : Privacy policy:   [obscured]  /html/index-5.html   [obscured]  : Terms of use:   [obscured]  /html/Terms-Condition.htm I particularly like the dogwork's terms of use around user submissions: User Submissions Any communication or material you transmit to the Site by electronic mail or otherwise, including any data, questions, comments, suggest...

Its a very complicated concept, it will really make people think and will get competitors wanting to bring this down. Therefore we need somebody who can check our concept if there are any things we can get in trouble. We need kind of Terms, that "free" us from everything, we want to give the responsibilty mostly to the sellers of our marketplace. WE have Teambuilding in the concept, means you can recommend others and you will get more money out of the turnovers. We need somebody, that will check the concept based on the most countries in the world, we donīt want to get in trouble anywhere. We are starting with more or less 20 languages, worldwide. People will sell, buy and auction products. everybody can sell, private, company etc. also services or other produtcst will be sold. We have an advertise section, where people can book the advertise, like facebook ad manager. We need disclaimer, terms and so on for the company. I will also give some important points, that a...

We need to trademark the name of our new product called "iBlinds". A home automation device to control 2" window blinds. I performed a basic search using the US Trademark Electronic Search System (TESS) and it appears the name was once registered but it is now abandoned. For the web it appears the domain is not in use, but someone has claimed it and is allowing it to be rented or purchased. For now we have decided to use myiblinds.com as our website name, as well as using that name for twitter and facebook. We're looking for somebody with experience in this area who can get the job done right. Thank you

I am looking for an attorney, preferrably one near the state of Connecticut where I reside and where my LLC is formed to help write the terms of agreement for my website. We plan to launch January 2, 2016. The site will relate in legal terms to the major social media sites such as facebook, youtube, twitter, etc. I want to make sure I am protected in the best way. I have already spoken with an attorney represented through legalzoom which is who I used to start my LLC and with my package, it does include a basic agreement to terms for the site. I am just wondering what the cost would be to hire someone to take this basic agreement and expand it in everyway to protect my future website which will be live in around 180 days from now. Looking forward to responses, thank you....

I would like to start a law suit because I created several business ideas in 1992 with a partner called Brandon Tancott we had a verbal contract to share the profits. Businesses and IP included but are not limited to Google, Facebook, Java, IP sub netting, object oriented programming, HTML, wikipedia, and others. Basically he started these companies that were all designed with business models and strategies and never paid me the money. The agreement was that the money would be in a safe place where no one could steal it and I was never given access. He has made no effort to contact me.

We are a maker of games more specifically we make certain casino games/puzzle games and we are preparing for a big launch and need our game "slots" a new terms of use for the company, this game is a game of chance and users purchase virtual coins in the game and can not win any real goods as a result of betting. We need some additional language into our terms that users understand that by playing any of our games they play at their own risk and we shall not be liable for any losses as occurred. We also want our privacy policy updated and fairly flexible so that we are protected if anyone would feel that rights are violated and we use 3rd party apps and sdks that are integrated for us to pull data about the users, where they go, how long they stay there, etc and certain unique identifiers for players, we use mixpanel.com for now but we could shift this in the future so we need some flexibility on the information we collect and by playing our games they agree to these, We ...

We have built a web based communications application in PHP and require a Privacy Policy to place on our website. The privacy policy is being requested by our API partners who provide us with services related to the messaging we send. Specifically with regards to the social messaging we are integrating with LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and we need a privacy policy that allows us to access these sites, read all incoming messages on behalf of the person and send outgoing message on behalf of the person. Specifically with regards to SMS messaging and Voice Broadcasts we are integrating with Twilio and we need a privacy policy that allows us to send SMS messages and Voice broadcasts to contacts that are added to our communication system by a user of our system. The privacy policy needs to govern use of our general website as well as use of our communications platform.

I need someone to help us understand the legal implications of our Terms and Conditions when customers register through Facebook on our website / mobile app. When people register with an email address they tick the "Accept T&C's" box, however with Facebook this is bypassed. We need to understand how to enforce acceptance of our terms - maybe they are accepted by default when registering with Facebook.

I am planning a small bookstore to host eBooks for authors. I'll be subject to DCMA takedowns for copyrighted material. I'm concerned about scammers trying to resell fake books. I'm also concerned about scammers taking down legit books. I'm also concerned about wasting alot of time with this. I would like to prevent fraudulent takedowns, while accepting good takedowns. I propose this: 1) Require email verification (Facebook doesn't do this?) 2) Require a ccard to verify a the filer's identity. (Authorize, but not charge) 3) Charge a $75 fee if the person filing does not file a lawsuit if the notice is disputed. How crazy is this? If these are bad ideas, what are ways to identify the person making the request? What should I do if I receive a DMCA request by email from someone who chooses not to go through the regular process? I'd love an hour or two of your time to work these issues out. Thanks! Mike
