I am searching for a programmer who is going to realize my concept into a code. It is an Android App that sends depending on the GPS position of the user specific messages to the user. The design was developed and is going to be provided as a PNG file ! broadly defined process: 1. User starts app or app is already running in the background 2. every 20 minutes the app determines the user's position and sends this information, along with the device identifier and the city-information to the server. 3. The server determines on the basis of the data submitted whether a suitable message for the information is present. 4. 1 (app in the foreground) => the data of the information is transferred directly back to the app and displayed there 5. 2 (app in the background) => The server sends a push notification to the respective terminal device. If the user clicks on the push notification, the app comes to the foreground => 4.1 The implementation and therefore this contract consists of ...

A simple android driving app that read velocity from GPS and disable Android notification (but allow Google Maps navigation) when speed exceeds a threshold. The app should: 1) run in the background. 2) GPS run as service and check for speed every 5 minutes 3) turn off notification but allow Google map navigation This is a proof-of-concept, if successful, there will be more follow-up work.

4-5 week design cycle. Extremely reliable. Fail safe. Size, weight, power should be minimized. Vibration resilient. EMI resilient MIL-STD-464. Design PCB and required firmware/software to convert about 12 0-5 volt analog inputs and about 12 thermister inputs to a canbus or rs-232/ttl level output. Canbus preferred. 10 bit or greater, data rate should be 1hz or greater. The number of inputs can be negotiable (for example if your microcontroller can only do 16 I/O). A second section of the board(s) should interface with two Novatel OEM615 GPS boards to provide conditioned power (I believe 12VDC and 3.3VDC), 232/LVL conversion, and mechanical attachment of GPS boards. OEM615 boards require the two voltages, two traces between the two for comms, and a level converter for one of the boards (they communicate on TTL and we need 232). This new PCB will essentially be a motherboard. +12 volt DC input (PCB must condition as required) Temp rating: -26F to 160F operational, -50F to 160F storage...

Mobile application, possibly using phone gap or native applications for Android and IOS. The application will require the user to authenticate with Facebook OAuth, take a users GPS coordinates and then post them to an API that I have written. The application will then need to render the results that are returned via the API, with a form button to make a post back to the API to store a count. The API handles Facebook auth already, not sure if it is best practice to use this to authenticate or for the mobile application to do this itself, could do with some input here. Also require the application to adhere to the company branding, and possibly some CSS written to import into the website. I can write code, just not written mobile applications before so would prefer to pay a professional to do this, but of course am willing to scope out a low level solution on paper together first of all if that helps.
