I'm looking for a developer to add new sections to an existing Wiki at   [obscured]   1) MediaWiki updates - i'm sure there are some to be done. 2) I'd like to expand the wiki so that it is four sections. The first section is the content you see today at   [obscured]   This section should be renamed to 'Worship'. The other three sections are new: Street, School and Cemetery. A new landing page would need to be created to provide an introduction with the choice of these four sections. 3) Look at ways to add more content to each of these sections. Look into existing open data sources to extract data about churches, streets, schools and cemeteries to create new pages in each section - to act as a stub for people to update. Would it be feasible to use a source such as DBPedia or Yago or Geonames for example. Ideally you are a data extraction and MediaWiki expert who is able to take this project on. I'm open to a set fee or an hourly rate. Let's discuss! In your proposal you...

I am looking for a database web developer to help me create a website that will provide realtime updates and deals for vendors, operators of private and public spaces, as well as consumers and general users. It will have user profiles like Yelp/Facebook, as well as a search function within USA states and cities for places and services like Craigslist.com. And it will be constantly updated by any registered user--so the real time element is the key component. Just like how real time updates in Facebook (check ins etc) and Foursquare are important, they are key to this business idea. Judging upon how successful the website becomes, it will expand as more cities, states, vendors, users ect are added. Aesthetics and user ability are important.

Hello, this is a geo-coding job. I have 132,807 rows of company data (observations) in Stata format. There are many variables in this data-set (columns), of which only one is pertinent for the purposes of this job: The address variable contains the addresses of the subsidiaries of Japanese multinational enterprises in 70 different countries. The job is to geo-code them with longitude and latitude coordinates, before placing the values of these two new variables in two adjacent columns back into the Stata data-set next to the address variable (which is listed by the variable name "ksfaddressalph" in the Stata data-set). Although there are 132,807 rows of data, many of the addresses are repeated for multiple years of observations for the same subsidiary. Therefore, when the address variable is exported out to excel and the duplicates removed, there are only 41,030 unique addresses to be geo-coded, of which many more are duplicates of one another still due to slight difference...

We are looking for a mysql and php expert, who can improve the loading speed of an opencart site. Currently, we have slow loading speed. We are running opencart-1.5.6.1 and Waabay multivendor dropshipper vqmod. We have had quite a few customizations already done, one of which is the geolocation-based search function. To find all vendors and their products, our database has to do a lot of work. For each listing in the database, we need to calculate the distance within 15 mile radius. This calculation and sort is just very slow. So we would need someone who has profound skill of MySQL, PHP and Opencart and can create spatial indexes to precalculate the distance points in MyISAM table. To optimize loading speed, other tasks include combining Javascripts, minifying CSS files, and fixing existing code. The result shall be below 2s for server response for location-based queries with sub-categories and products without a plugin. Anything above that loading speed is unacceptable. We onl...

Hello, I am looking for a freelancer who can build a number of spacial datasets that we plan to publish on a map platform. The main tasks would be extracting data from existing datasets, cleaning data as required, consolidating if using more than one source and generally preparing the data so it can be presented as a map layer. The first project is to build a worldwide cemetery dataset. The format for the database/UI still needs to be determined. I had been considering a wiki format as this would allow easy editing by a community if needed. However it is open to discussion. Success in this project will lead to further dataset work. Any questions, please let me know. Thanks, Neil

Project concerns a proof-of-concept. Goal: based on the location of the mobile user (HTML5, mobile phones, Lat/Lon location) we want to find the nearest store. The result must be the store (all stores are in a Postgres database table) and the destination to the store. We have the location in of the user as Lat/Lon (through the GPS of the mobile); We have the addresses of the stores (which can be stored with lat/lon as well). It's a small project to be build in Python/Django with PostgreSql. The project needs some basic documentation and a how-to-install guide.

I'm in need of the following database processes: 1. The ability to draw an outline on a google map, name that vector and have it stored within a database with the estimate size of inside it. 2. The ability to query a pre-existing database of entries which have long/lat's, for each entry i'd like to do a query through the table full of vectors and list out in decending order of size all the related vectors which the entry would be within. This system would need to have about 2000 vectors and about 10,000 entries and execut fairly quickly. If you know of a better way of achieving this do let me know. In essense, What I'd like to achieve is getting all of the States as vectors, all of the greater council areas, all of the council areas, and all of the cities all from vectors/shape files provided by the Australia Bureau of statistics betaworks databases. Though I'd like the process where additional vectors/shapes could be added.
