Background: I was illegally dismissed (without warning or prior discipline) by my ex-employer, while working overseas. Consequently, I am pursuing legal action in Vietnam using a local Vietnamese law firm to protect my rights. I have received an engagement letter (in English) from a local firm and am seeking legal guidance and possible EL revisions to protect myself. My verbal arrangement with the law firm was a 3k advance fee for 1st Courts and another 2k advance fee for appellate level with a 30% contingent fee on amount successfully recovered for settlement by a court judgment; and a 25% contingent fee on amount successfully recovered for settlement by parties. All fees must come out of the advances and contingent fees as I've advised them I'm living off a dwindling savings and have no current cash flow. We are a family law firm looking to build a team of US- and international-based drafters of legal documents. This is a test run for determining who we may hire into the future. I will send three documents: a new client questionnaire, a completed mediated settlement agreement, and a form to be modified by the drafter. The drafter will need to edit the form to substantively comply with the mediated settlement agreement and to include the details from the new client questionnaire. Once your bid is accepted, I will need a timeline and some benchmarks from you.
