The task is to write a set of C# classes that will read a string of 12 characters in the SEMI OCR font from either a bmp or jpg image, or an in-memory 8-bit frame buffer. See the attached images for examples. Background: integrated circuit wafers have an ID number etched along the edge. The machine that handles these wafers has an iCube camera that can grab frames under software control as the wafer is rotated under the camera. The ID number is used to determine how the wafer is to be processed. As you can see in the attached images, positioning is not always perfect. We have some flexibility in the camera configuration, if that is an issue. If you are interested, we can send you the existing C++ program, based on the iCube SDK, that is used to grab frames and write them to a file.
