Our current web site, grean.com, is about to be expanded. We want to change it to a static site generated by Jekyll. The task falls in 2 phases. First convert the current one-pager to Jekyll. The entire structure will be kept in GitHub. Later we will set up a blog also using GitHub and Jekyll. Next we want to set up GitHub deployment to Azure Web Sites, which means you will have to write a special Kudu sync deployment to install Ruby and the necessary gems.

Job Description We are developing an open source framework called Vizabi (  [obscured]  /vizabi/docs/), and we would like to create a static web site that introduces the project, documentation and blog. The website should not use any backend service (unless you show us that it would be a lot simpler), and should ideally be developed with grunt assemble (  [obscured]  /assemble/assemble) or jekyll (  [obscured]  /). So no wordpress, no server side, just simple static page. We need to be able to: - Create content using markdown, with script snippets to run and show examples similar to   [obscured]  /vizabi/docs/ - Post to the blog using markdown - Compile the project to static files (plain JS, HTML, images and CSS) to be hosted on an Amazon S3 instance. It would also be great if: - Styles are done with Sass - Use grunt or gulp Notes: - We use GitHub for code sharing and issues. You will need to provide your GitHub username and commit code on...

I have a Jekyll blog (source files in Markdown) that I need converted to Wordpress. I'm not sure what exactly is involved, but I'm assuming that the .md files need to be parsed and put into a format that Wordpress can natively import. It's essential that the date, URL, slug, etc... is maintained with the conversion.

Hi, I run a small technical blog with Jekyll, but with growing size, the code base started to get messy. I need some support to refactor the blog: - especially, I need a nicer approach to render handlebars templates: e.g. {{ someHelper }} The problem here is that Jekyll has the same template approach. - improve the tagging system of the blog posts. I am also open to move the whole blog to a Node.js setup, maybe Assemble. In the next weeks I am not having much time, so, I am trying to get some support. Please only people with the right skills should apply.

You will help us build, expand and maintain a new Middleman-based web site. You are very familiar with Git, Ruby and flat file-based CMSs, ie. Middleman, Awestruct, Jekyll, et al. You are also familiar with Markdown and Markdown-like formats, such as Asciidoc, as well as document manipulation tools, such as Asciidoctor and Pandoc. And finally, you're not afraid of hacking some Ruby modules to get things working properly, if the need arises. Please have your references, portfolio and github repos available for viewing. You will convert a Wordpress blog and website (xaprb.com) with nearly 1000 posts to Octopress. I will provide the following: * A Github repository with a default Octopress installation and theme. * The text of the blog posts, in Markdown format. * The images and other linked assets such as PDFs. * A mysqldump export of the entire Wordpress blog. * All other (non-Wordpress) site content. There are several static pages and images. You will then do the following: * Customize Octopress's theme slightly to look more like the existing blog. It need not look exactly like it, but I would like to add a header image. * Review the content of all of the blog posts for formatting, and fix any issues. I have noticed that the default export format of the plugin I used to convert to Markdown causes some inlined or floated images to float badly. You can simply remove inlining and floating. I have also noticed that some blockquote or code sections may have wrong formatting. * Convert static content ...

looking for someone with experience with the jekyll templating system who can build a template for my blog (currently at blog.hackerhasid.com using the freely available up theme -   [obscured]  /caarlos0/up). i like the current theme because it's clean, text centric, mobile friendly, and presents source code well. i don't like it because the homepage is only a list of blog posts (instead of the content) and it's freely available and used by others.
