I have a number of files which have been extracted from an accounting system MYOB. They are in excel format but could be produced in text file format. The files need to be rearranged into a specific mapping of fields in order for them to be imported into a new accounting system - Xero. A mapping will be provided of the old fields to the new fields. The customer list is probably the biggest file and is 16000 lines in excel due to the way the export from MYOB is formatted. There are around 390 customer records. There are around 49 fields in the customer file, but only 5-10 will be required for the CSV file which is to be imported. In addition to the customer file there will also be conversions required for a suppliers file, sales invoice file and purchase invoice file. A sample of the excel customer file to be converted is attached along with a mapping showing the layout of the CSV file to be created - see yellow highlighted fields.
