This needs to run on Yosemite on a Mac Mini. Applescript or automator job. I am NOT interested in automating this with PHP (or equiv). OVERVIEW -- I have a folder that periodically, but not regularly, has PDFs uploaded to it remotely via an automated function. There is also a web server running on this computer. The PDFs are NOT uploaded via the web server. Sometimes 1 or a few PDFs are uploaded, and sometimes it is hundreds or even thousands (3000-4000). I need to copy the uploaded files to a folder in the web server Documents folder, and generate new sub-folders that contain up to 1500 PDFs each. Need to do this on a regular, scheduled basis (daily, or every N hours), so I'll also need instructions for scheduling this on Yosemite. I want variable folder names and batch sizes that are initialized so they can be modified/tweaked later without having to touch every line of code.
