I am looking for somebody that can help clean up our documentation site (auth0.com/docs). Basically, I need to move all images that are referenced in the documents to /media folder. Currently most images are stored on dropbox or cloudup. All images need to be copied over and then the url reference in the markdown document will need to be updated. the structure of the media folder will match the structure of the docs so for example: Doc name: /this-is-a-doc.md Media files go in : /media/this-is-a-doc/*.* Doc name /scenarios/another-doc.md Media files go in: /media/scenarios/another-doc/*.* Before bidding please look at the github repository and see how many documents there are. This is something I would like to start on right away. You are required to have knowledge of git/github as these changes will be submitted via a pull request (we will provide the github account).

We need a translation from either: - German to French - English to French for a software product. You can choose the source language, but the target language is French. Currently the word count is like: ~1600 words in the Markdown format. ~550 words in a single HTML file ~60 words in a .yml file Markdown format and YML is very simple. You can easily follow the example. HTML is also simple if you know what HTML is. I expect a translator to not translate word by word, but to preserve the meaning and make it sound "natural". The tone of the translation should be kept (informative and professional). Please note the following: - There will be a follow-up job at a later point of time. It would be great if the successful candidate would try to be available for this one too. - Native speakers of french a preferred - Please make sure you can deliver at least one week after we have agreed - Please submit a fixed price for the offer. If you feel afterwards my description of t...

I am looking for **native English** writers for a newly created site. The site is focused on professional careers, advice on job interviews, job search, career planning and related issues for job seekers. Possibly this can be a longer term contract as the site will grow over time. If the quality is OK I'll send 4-5 articles ideas for you that I'd like to get written. Deadline for the articles is usually 4 days. Content length: 800 - 1000 words Per article price: $10 I'll send ideas in batches of 5. This is especially preferred in case you have some sort of presence in HR (e.g. write to other sites too, or you want to use these articles to highlight them on your resume or other web profiles). ## Required skills / deliverables during the project - As it's mentioned in the ...

Here's an easy job for someone who knows what they're doing. I am looking for an experienced editor/copywriter to write long copy that sounds personal. I will take what you write & mail it as a letter to someone I know in order to hopefully convince her to give me a job. Very much like a cover letter. Does this mean you have to think hard of WHAT to say? No, I've done all the hard work of creating an outline & planning what to say including major points & arguments. What I need from you is to listen to what I am trying to say, edit & refine my message & finally put it into words so it is coherent & flows smoothly. i.e. I need help in expression. I would've done this all myself except, you know how you can write stuff for others fairly easily but when it comes to writing for your own projects, it's much harder? Well, that's me. I've been planning this letter but when it came time to write, I just froze. Two months passed & I have little to show for it. Th...

Convert 4th draft of book, 43 files (6.4MB) in Microsoft Word to Leanpub-flavored Markdown. The book has ~140K words, which if printed as a 6x9 book would be 300 pages. Leanpub does the conversion to markdown text, but it needs a fine eye and tweaking to look good in Leanpub. Particular care needs to be taken to have unique footnotes IDs (as per   [obscured]  /help/manual#leanpub-auto-footnotes), resulting in: [^ftn-01-1]: Target Map. 2012. "Most Popular Spectator Sports in the World". Target Map web site. [  [obscured]  /viewer.aspx?reportId=13258](  [obscured]  /viewer.aspx?reportId=13258). Leanpub asides icons need to be set: You can use any icon on   [obscured]  /Font-Awesome/icons/ with the following syntax: {icon=icon-name} G> Text An example of conversion of a chapter from the previous draft available.

I have a transcription of a scanned story of 14 pages, some 6,000 words. I'm looking for someone to post-edit the transcription against the scanned original for *exact faithfulness to the original only*. All aspects of the original should be maintained, including punctuation, italicization, paragraph breaks (but not line breaks); even misspellings should be accurately reflected. The transcription is quite poor, with many OCR errors. The task requires extreme attention to detail. I have attached the scanned original (PDF) and the current transcription to give a sense of the material. The first two paragraphs of the transcription have already been corrected, in order to indicate what is desired. Note that this is not a traditional copyediting job, as no corrections or improvements to the text are wanted. Rather, the goal is to get as accurate and faithful a transcription as possible. The transcription is in Markdown format, a simple textual format that allows markup for, e.g., headings...

I have a transcription of a scanned book of some 66,000 words. I'm looking for someone to post-edit the transcription against the scanned original for *exact faithfulness to the original only*. This project involves creating Markdown files, tagged according to our guidelines, from content supplied in Word format. We will supply tagging guidelines that include Markdown tags and our own custom tags. This is a basic tagging job and is much simpler than HTML. If you are comfortable with tagging, can learn new tags quickly, and work efficiently and accurately, we have hundreds of pages for you to tag, and they should go very quickly once you have learned the basic set of tags. ** Please do not offer to automate the process or modify it in any way. (Job may be awarded to multiple applicants.) We will pay about $1.00 per Word page that you convert. **Please bid on 500 pages.** So for $1/page, bid $500 (or $550 to cover fees). Actual p...
