**NOTE: Applicant must be on OSX (mac) ** I need help creating some text files, from portions of some books that I've marked up. The general process will be: 1. Looking at scanned, marked up copy for the the highlighted or marked text. 2. Finding and copying that text in a second file (either an ePub or a PDF). 3. Copying and pasting the text into a text file, formatted using the Markdown syntax (explained below) I've attached a few files that should give you a sense of this process - a scanned PDF, an ePUB file for the book, and a partial example of the "product" text file, with all section headings captured, and the text marked up using markdown. Searching for an individual who can transcribe some files for me using an Outliner program. It's extremely important that the individual have access to a Mac computer with the ability to download programs / software onto it. The individual must have transcription experience and either know or be willing to learn how to format plain text using markdown (a plain formatting syntax which is very easy to learn). A tutorial link can be provided, if needed. Also, prefer someone within the U.S. or U.K. with English as a first language. This will be a recurring project, so when you finish one transcription, I will assign another, etc. I may also reach out to see if the individual can help with other Mac-specific tasks.
