I run a podcast, and publish study notes that accompany this work. I've been doing them in Word, but would like to switch to a simple Latex template so I can programmatically generate the study notes, as well as last-updated-at dates for each section. I've attached a PDF with (basically) what I'm looking for: - Lato typeface throughout. - 3 colour- and size-levels for headers. - each topic/section is page-breaked. - the pages are US letter, standard book margins, alternating odd/even (a.k.a. a slightly greater margin where the book crease would be, I believe the "book" documentclass does this already?) - footers with the text from the top level header on that page copied in, as well as the page number. - a nice looking blockquote box. - what's not in the PDF: a nice table of contents that matches the general style of the document would be appreciated. Table of Contents only needs to include sections / Header 1's. The only "non-standard" thing I'd like to have is &...

Job Description We are developing an open source framework called Vizabi (  [obscured]  /vizabi/docs/), and we would like to create a static web site that introduces the project, documentation and blog. The website should not use any backend service (unless you show us that it would be a lot simpler), and should ideally be developed with grunt assemble (  [obscured]  /assemble/assemble) or jekyll (  [obscured]  /). So no wordpress, no server side, just simple static page. We need to be able to: - Create content using markdown, with script snippets to run and show examples similar to   [obscured]  /vizabi/docs/ - Post to the blog using markdown - Compile the project to static files (plain JS, HTML, images and CSS) to be hosted on an Amazon S3 instance. It would also be great if: - Styles are done with Sass - Use grunt or gulp Notes: - We use GitHub for code sharing and issues. You will need to provide your GitHub username and commit code on...

We wish to create an education-based website as part of a home-based business. The site would include some basic Content Management tools to create "articles" or "lessons" that would include formatted text (could be done with Markdown) and attached media including photos, PDFs, videos etc. The site could either provide its own video stream or embed videos from sites like Vimeo and Youtube. Users of the site would be both free and premium users with different content available to them. Premium users would subscribe to the site (via Stripe, perhaps). For on-going management reasons, it is preferred that this code be done in Google Go (golang). While some initial graphic/UX design and functional documentation is complete it is expected that the project includes a round of UI/graphical design prior to development.

I want to get text out of an old phpBB2 database. I had a forum on a site ages ago - took it down and now want to get the text out to do other things with it. Don't need/want DM's I suspect this is possible with MySQL and PHP chops that I just don't have and don't have the time to learn.

I have a Jekyll blog (source files in Markdown) that I need converted to Wordpress. I'm not sure what exactly is involved, but I'm assuming that the .md files need to be parsed and put into a format that Wordpress can natively import. It's essential that the date, URL, slug, etc... is maintained with the conversion.

Hey there! This project should be both fun and educational (or at least a refresher). IMPORTANT NOTE: This will be structured as a two-tier job. First I will hire several freelancers for 2 hours. You write markdown online at   [obscured]  /editor, or on any markdown editor. * The copyright of the problems you produce will be assigned to me. Problems will be original, though you may use online and print resources for guidance and ideas. * Problems will be short. These are not projects. ...

Word parser and highlighter and text-input handler written in Coffeescript with Unit tests. Job Description: I have a specific set of front-end functionality that I would like built in Coffeescript. The code should include unit tests (e.g. Nodeunit) for all items. Additionally, you should include a basic README (preferably in Markdown) that details how to set up and run the tests (and any other information that seems relevant). I will provide 3 flat HTML template files for reference and which you can use for testing. As you'll see from the specific requirements, this is a typing test app, though with arbitrary text (not just plain English or other natural language). The specific functionality is as follows: - Programatically identify a given CSS ID for a source DIV - programatically identify a text-input DIV based on CSS ID - Parse HTML in the source DIV, tokenize this content (white-space delimited).
