**NOTE: Applicant must be on OSX (mac) ** I need help creating some text files, from portions of some books that I've marked up. The general process will be: 1. Looking at scanned, marked up copy for the the highlighted or marked text. 2. Finding and copying that text in a second file (either an ePub or a PDF). 3. Copying and pasting the text into a text file, formatted using the Markdown syntax (explained below) I've attached a few files that should give you a sense of this process - a scanned PDF, an ePUB file for the book, and a partial example of the "product" text file, with all section headings captured, and the text marked up using markdown. APPS FOR READING ePUB, and WRITING MARKDOWN You'll need *Kitabu* to open and copy from the ePub file, which is available on the Mac App store:   [obscured]  /us/app/kitabu/id492498910?mt=12 In order to write/preview in Markdown, you can either use the online editor, or Lightpaper:   [obscured]

For each screenshot, just put: IMAGE: description of screenshot goes here For example, on page 9 of the PDF, the text for the screenshot would be: IMAGE: AWX login screen Later I have someone else putting in the actual screenshot images, so for now we just want text placeholders. # Code Blocks For code blocks, use the triple-tick method for fenced code blocks (instead of indenting). Here's an example: ``` function test() { console.log("whats up?"); } ``` # Note Sections For the "note" sections (the blue blocks with text), just put them inside html blockquote tags. <blockquote> Note text goes here... </blockquote> # Line Breaks Please let the lines o...
