We have multiple choice questions stored in Excel that we want to convert into PDF form. This is for the purpose of previewing, because everything we have in Excel is written in markdown. That means that we use LaTex and designate it with double-dollar signs like: $$Some Latex$$ So we want a script that can do the following: 1) Be run easily on both OSX and Windows, where we just need to specify the Excel file to convert via a path or by dragging the file onto the application. 2) Convert the Excel file into a PDF document by iterating through each column with a header and each row. 3) Each row is separated in the PDF by a line (as shown in the sample output) 4) The headers in the Excel columns are used as keys in the PDF (as shown in the sample output) 5) Assume that everything is Excel is in standard markdown notation and must be rendered during the conversion to Excel. The only non-standard notation we use is a single ~ means underline: ~underline~ 6) Assume we use standard ...

We wish to create an education-based website as part of a home-based business. The site would include some basic Content Management tools to create "articles" or "lessons" that would include formatted text (could be done with Markdown) and attached media including photos, PDFs, videos etc. The site could either provide its own video stream or embed videos from sites like Vimeo and Youtube. Users of the site would be both free and premium users with different content available to them. Premium users would subscribe to the site (via Stripe, perhaps). For on-going management reasons, it is preferred that this code be done in Google Go (golang). While some initial graphic/UX design and functional documentation is complete it is expected that the project includes a round of UI/graphical design prior to development.

That means that we use LaTex and designate it with double-dollar signs like: $$Some Latex$$ So what we want to do is to use Mathematica and import these excel files and generate formatted PDF documents using the Latex. We would like this to be done as an extension of Mathematica or a command we can run in mathematica where all we have to do is specify the file to convert. You can assume that all Excel files will have the same column headers as in the attached example. Attached is an example output. We are also attaching an example of script we wrote for Maple, which produced the sample output here, but since we all run on OSX and have adopted Mathematica, we are looking for a Mathematica solution to this problem. Successful completion of this will require deep knowledge of Mathematica, Latex, a...

Box.com API Consumer Requirements Purpose The purpose of this project is to design and develop a consumer for the Box.com API. The software will be integrated into a larger body of work that consists of a collection of API consumers. Scope The Box.com API Consumer is two Python classes. One that has methods to search and retrieve different objects from Box.com using the API. The second posts files to Box.com using the API. The Oauth flow will be handled in a separate application and the developer should expect to receive the required token in the class init kwargs. The pull class must support searching and pulling files from Box.com as well as moving files from one location to another on box.com. The class must contain methods that finds the most recently modified file matching a regular expression and returns the path to a file on the local machine. The entry point to an instantiated class is a method titled "run". The method then must perform the operation requ...

I want to get text out of an old phpBB2 database. I had a forum on a site ages ago - took it down and now want to get the text out to do other things with it. Don't need/want DM's I suspect this is possible with MySQL and PHP chops that I just don't have and don't have the time to learn.

For   [obscured]   we have created several markdown pages (.md) that should be set into a template with at the left a menu, a header and a footer. We are not experts in this, but we *think* that by using something like Angular js, you can build a template (with menu, header and footer), and then just link the .md pages in (or compiled md pages). End result should be something like this:   [obscured]  /api/authentication/ (on that page you see a header, a menu at the left, and a footer). We deliver you all MD pages.

Hello, I need to have a Jekyll (  [obscured]  /) blog converted to Wordpress. All Jekyll posts are stored as individual yaml files (markdown format) with some metadata (post slug, url, date, etc...) at the top of the file. I need the URL structure in Wordpress to be exactly identical to the existing site so that existing referrer links and disqus comments will still work. The blog was done in Jekyll to mimic the Wordpress URL structure, so this shouldn't be a problem. There are a total of 401 posts. I'm hoping most of this can be done with a script and not manually. Thanks

I am looking for somebody that can help clean up our documentation site (auth0.com/docs). Basically, I need to move all images that are referenced in the documents to /media folder. Currently most images are stored on dropbox or cloudup. All images need to be copied over and then the url reference in the markdown document will need to be updated. the structure of the media folder will match the structure of the docs so for example: Doc name: /this-is-a-doc.md Media files go in : /media/this-is-a-doc/*.* Doc name /scenarios/another-doc.md Media files go in: /media/scenarios/another-doc/*.* Before bidding please look at the github repository and see how many documents there are. This is something I would like to start on right away. You are required to have knowledge of git/github as these changes will be submitted via a pull request (we will provide the github account).

I need someone with experience with LaTeX and pandoc (Haskell tool for conversion of files between multiple formats). Pandoc can take a markdown file and process it to PDF, which it does via LaTeX (hidden step). The conversion traditionally uses a default.latex template to format the PDF output. I need to have this template edited so that the PDF output conforms to a style for our journal. I would supply an example LaTeX .tex file for an article, along with our journal's LaTeX .cls file and an example bibliography file and an example of the PDF we are aiming for. We are currently manually editing the .tex masterfile to insert authors submissions and produce our PDF. The goal is to produce markdown from the author submission and then convert this automatically using pandoc.
