We have a set of templates currently written as static HTML + CSS. We need to convert this into Statamic themes + markdown (with partials, etc.) When selecting the job, please make sure to send us: * Explain and show your previous experience with Statamic * Your Github handle When you're done, I should be able to take the github repo, install a fresh version of Statamic on the server, and have everything working out of the gate.

I have an eBook that I've self-published. It's written using Apple Pages and is approximately 60 pages long. I'm moving to a new publishing system that only supports Markdown formatting, so I need help converting the content from the existing Pages document to separate Markdown formatted files. This book is technical in nature. Most of the work will be copy / paste, but there are also images and terminal output that will need to be handled carefully. The eBook can be found here:   [obscured]   Let me know if you have further questions.

I have a Jekyll blog (source files in Markdown) that I need converted to Wordpress. I'm not sure what exactly is involved, but I'm assuming that the .md files need to be parsed and put into a format that Wordpress can natively import. It's essential that the date, URL, slug, etc... is maintained with the conversion.

Hey there! This project should be both fun and educational (or at least a refresher). IMPORTANT NOTE: This will be structured as a two-tier job. First I will hire several freelancers for 2 hours. Then I will choose 1-2 to continue to work on this. Initial problems can be on any topic you choose. I am looking to create a small database of Javascript problems of various difficulties. These problems will cover a wide variety of skills from basic to intermediate (and maybe some advanced) Javascript. This requires that the freelancer knows Javascript pretty well! If you don't, this might be a good opportunity to learn some things. Spec: * Problems will be formatted in Markdown (.md). You write markdown online at   [obscured]  /editor, or on any markdown editor. * The copyright of the problems you produce will be assigned to me. Problems will be original, though you may use online and print resources for guidance and ideas. * Problems will be short. These are not projects. ...

The project: 70-90 web pages for an open-source online programming reference manual for students. The manual is for Pencil Code, an elegant new educational programming website for students which is free to all to use. The text must be clear, succinct, and accessible to students in grades 6+. Although there is very little text on each page, it is important that each page include two or more running code samples, with annotations on the relevant parts of the code and the output. We will provide tools for creating and annotating those samples. This manual will be well-used! The reference manual will cover basics of using the Pencil Code turtle graphics library, as well as describe the functionality of specific syntax in Javascript, Coffeescript, and jQuery. A draft table of contents of the project (and a few pages) can be found at   [obscured]  / - as you can see, each page of the reference manual will have a few sentences of text explaining a single command together with t...

Here's an easy job for someone who knows what they're doing. I am looking for an experienced editor/copywriter to write long copy that sounds personal. I will take what you write & mail it as a letter to someone I know in order to hopefully convince her to give me a job. Very much like a cover letter. Does this mean you have to think hard of WHAT to say? No, I've done all the hard work of creating an outline & planning what to say including major points & arguments. What I need from you is to listen to what I am trying to say, edit & refine my message & finally put it into words so it is coherent & flows smoothly. i.e. I need help in expression. I would've done this all myself except, you know how you can write stuff for others fairly easily but when it comes to writing for your own projects, it's much harder? Well, that's me. I've been planning this letter but when it came time to write, I just froze. Two months passed & I have little to show for it. Th...

Hello, I'm Armi, and I'm looking for a talented and experienced ebook designer. I run a health and fitness blog at EvidenceMag.com, and we publish a lot of downloadable ebooks and reports. We need someone to help us design and format them correctly. We also need help with editing images for logos, adding watermarks to copyrighted photographs, and similar small graphic design tasks. Here are your responsibilities: - Downloading a markdown file (Markdown is just a text editor) with the content to be used in an ebook or report. If you don't know how to use Markdown, that's okay, but you will need to learn. It's very easy to understand. - Turning that content into a PDF, Mobi, and Epub file. - Finding and editing stock images for each ebook. - Working with me to adjust the design until we're both satisfied. - Using your own judgement to make subtle changes to the design, not just basic stuff like pasting an image. You need to have complete control over the appearance of the finishe...

Word parser and highlighter and text-input handler written in Coffeescript with Unit tests. Job Description: I have a specific set of front-end functionality that I would like built in Coffeescript. The code should include unit tests (e.g. Nodeunit) for all items. Additionally, you should include a basic README (preferably in Markdown) that details how to set up and run the tests (and any other information that seems relevant). I will provide 3 flat HTML template files for reference and which you can use for testing. As you'll see from the specific requirements, this is a typing test app, though with arbitrary text (not just plain English or other natural language). The specific functionality is as follows: - Programatically identify a given CSS ID for a source DIV - programatically identify a text-input DIV based on CSS ID - Parse HTML in the source DIV, tokenize this content (white-space delimited). Expect the content to be pre-styled using SPAN elements - Highlight "curre...
