In 2005 I started a blog that published original art, literature, and music every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Back in those days, CMSs and templating were not as common as today (I know, right?). This site grew and grew over the following 3 years. Today, it sits idle, dusty, as a static HTML website longing for life. I need your help to revive it. I have built a new CMS to showcase this timeless content, but I need to emancipate all the riches of the articles from the HTML prison bars that currently contain it. I would like to receive one (1) Markdown (  [obscured]  /projects/markdown/) file for each of the links on the archive page (  [obscured]  /archive.htm) under the headings "Publications", "Featured Steves", "Language", and "Front Page". Each of these Markdown files should be named using the following convention: Type.YY-MM-DD.Title-with-hyphens.md "Type" will be the heading from where the link w...

You will help us build, expand and maintain a new Middleman-based web site. You are very familiar with Git, Ruby and flat file-based CMSs, ie. Middleman, Awestruct, Jekyll, et al. You are also familiar with Markdown and Markdown-like formats, such as Asciidoc, as well as document manipulation tools, such as Asciidoctor and Pandoc. And finally, you're not afraid of hacking some Ruby modules to get things working properly, if the need arises. Please have your references, portfolio and github repos available for viewing. We will take the best candidate and am not afraid to pay top dollar for quality work.

I have a transcription of a scanned book of some 66,000 words. I'm looking for someone to post-edit the transcription against the scanned original for *exact faithfulness to the original only*. The transcription is already quite accurate, so the task requires extreme attention to detail, since changes will be relatively rare (unlike, say, post-editing OCRed text). I have attached a sample of a couple of pages of the scanned original (PDF) and the current transcription (Markdown) to give a sense of the material. Job description: Note that this is not a traditional proofreading or copyediting job, as no corrections or improvements to the text are wanted. Rather, the goal is to get as accurate and faithful a transcription as possible. The transcription is in Markdown format, a simple textual format that allows markup for, e.g., headings and italics. The transcription should conform to that format. Therefore, familiarity with Markdown is a plus. Total word count: 66000 Type of review: ...

Hello, I have content split into different blog posts and I'd like to combine them into 1 Ebook. Here is one post for instance:   [obscured]  /making-blog/1-1-create-wagon-site. I like the styling and I'd like to find it in the ebook as well. I have the original files in HTML of Markdown formats if you're interested. The final ebook needs to be sent by email in PDF format. I'd like to be able to modify it myself, so before sending me a quote, could you please tell me how you are going to proceed? Many thanks,

Design of Contentice Admin. =========================== Current Status ------------------- No work has been put into the design of the admin pages so far. The following images will help you understand how the application works:   [obscured]  /contenticedesign/ Background ---------- Contentice is a CMS API that you can use to build single-page applications (SPA) on top of. As such, the admin pages have functionality that lets the user create and add data that will be exposed as JSON and markdown to the SPA. So far, no emphasis have been put into the design of the admin pages, but for Contentice to go live, it needs an approachable design. Ideally, the admin pages will have a minimalistic design footprint. I need an estimate of the cost of designing the pages, as described below. I will as a minimum need PSD files containing each element, as well as an overall view of the design of the pages. Icons ----- Where possible, I would like icons to be based upon the animatab...

Hello All: I need some front-end JS created to essentially wrap/create a custom textarea. I need the textarea to take a pasted image and upload it via ajax to a backend server (PHP). I am building a markdown editor and I need the paste component built. The textarea will contain text only and will submit the pasted image via ajax to a the server. The server will process the image (in our case store it in a publicly accessible URL) then return the URL for the image back to the textarea and the java will insert it there. Thus, I need the Paste "event" caught in the textarea and wrapped using the new clipboard API. The POST will then happen and the PHP will return the URL. I am ***NOT*** worried about the backend script it can return static text for now; this project is all about the frontend design. All about the javascript. I need bootstrap3.x, jquery 1.10.x, and I desire the design to be solid and well thought out. If you are familiar with github I am trying to re-c...

The position of contributing author/writer requires that you have a good knowledge of the Mac ecosysystem which includes IOS. Ideas for an article will be solicited from you but I can provide one if required. The writer should have a good grasp also of web publishing. I myself write in Markdown however an RFT formatted document is perfectly fine. Articles for the audience are written at a high level so that they have technical content but are not what I refer to as techno-geeky. I am open to a deeper technical article as long as the primary focus remains the Mac ecosystem. Articles tend to be benefits based and often focus on enhanced productivity. I've always tended to pay in terms of words produced e.g. between .05 and .10 cents a word so as an example 1000 words would be $50 to $100.

Hi, thanks for your interest in this small project. For this, we're using github flavored markdown:   [obscured]  /articles/github-flavored-markdown This is the PDF:   [obscured]  /releases/awx/docs/awx_user_guide.pdf # Screenshots There are many screenshots in the PDF. For each screenshot, just put: IMAGE: description of screenshot goes here For example, on page 9 of the PDF, the text for the screenshot would be: IMAGE: AWX login screen Later I have someone else putting in the actual screenshot images, so for now we just want text placeholders. # Code Blocks For code blocks, use the triple-tick method for fenced code blocks (instead of indenting). Here's an example: ``` function test() { console.log("whats up?"); } ``` # Note Sections For the "note" sections (the blue blocks with text), just put them inside html blockquote tags. <blockquote> Note text goes here... </blockquote> # Line Breaks Please let the lines o...
