Job: Process Improvement ? New Members Signup Process Taking new member signup data and adding to the member database, which is actually a mediawiki database. We operate a members section on our website, a wiki, and an email listserv. New signup requests are sent by php to a MySQL database. Current process is labour intensive and involves csv files, manual entries, and is rather painful. I have tried and failed to improve this! Need your help. The job: review the process, apply your genius to it, and make a smooth transition from the signup mySQL DB to the active members DB. In the process, allow for editing of signup data (error check). Free up my time! In detail: Ideally, make a control panel to present all the signup requests. Allow me to edit the info presented. Run a couple of algorithms (to create a standard member username using first, last, airline) Then submit to the main database. Finally, get server to send (sendmail?) a signup request in one email for all the new memb...

We are looking at implementing a forum using PHPBB, a Wiki using Media Wiki and a Moodle for online training. These platforms will be developed for our globally oriented company. I require an individual or team that is extensively familiar with these software platforms. This team or individual will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and upkeep of these platforms. We will require the installation of extensions or mods and the possible creation of new ones if required. It would be advantageous to have a single team capable of handling all of these platforms, but individuals with in depth expertise on a single platform will also be reviewed. This is an ongoing position and will be required on a spurious basis.

We have a PostgreSQL database approximately 12MB in size (less than 130,000 records in 40 tables). The database is accessed by staff through a few Perl scripts and a custom framework on a Linux server. We need to move the database from a shared virtual host in Sweden to a new server in the USA. We are open to suggestions for a new hosting service but want to keep the cost under per month. The change in hosting provides an opportunity to change the database and the scripts if you would rather work with MySQL, JavaScript, PHP or other common technologies. We also have a MediaWiki to be migrated to the new server.

I need a company or a freelance developer to give me IT consulting on: 1) Best way (language and database type) to develop a custom web application for managing restaurants, parties information, etc, on a website about a famous city. Itīs like an administration website that I can add, edit, remove, comment, etc, on those information. 2) Best way (language and database type) to develop a mobile application that will consume that information. Should work on Android and IOS. We need consulting not just to develop, but how to add out app on both stores (Google Play and iTunes). Knowing that the consultant needs a huge understanding of mobile development since we need a Facebook like framework. 3) Best way to integrate those information on MediaWiki software (same one used on WikiPedia). I want to send that information to the official website (where users also reads information) on the web (not mobile) I'm looking right now for a consultant that can understand the scenario and develop a...

My company is looking for a specialist/expert around *UNIX AND WIKI* fields. We need somebody with extensive WIKI experience that can help us get things running as soon as possible. We are aiming to develop a Wiki (using Media Wiki) to work as a knowledge base for several reference content areas (articles, pages, uploaded files). We have around, let's say, 96 different content categories. Each content category needs to be restricted to different levels of users, but, since Wiki main philosophy is to have its contents free, as much open as possible (editable by everyone), things got harsh. Even the official documentation of Media Wiki says that Media Wiki is not ready for complex access level control and page restrictions based on user privileges. So, advised by a partner company, we found out we need a different approach. We were told to install the Media Wiki software using multiple databases, having our final product composed by something like 96 different Wikis (one for each con...
