I need a formula that can use 4 price tiers. from 1-5 = $1.50 from 6-9 = $4.00 from 10-49 = $5.00 and from 50-999 = $5.50 the catch is that if the customer wants 55 units, it will be $1.5 * 5 for the first 5 and $4 for the following 4, $5 for 10-49 and then $5.50 for the last 5. and get the sum of those tiers in between. for example the total cost of an order of 55 has to be $246.00

I have a very complex spreadsheet that I need to optimize. My current solution uses a VBA function to predict call volumes from postcards sent to consumers every day. The function looks at each day's drop and uses a normal distribution to distribute the response over the next few weeks. The calls are then summed together to give the daily expected calls from all sources. It runs incredibly slowly. It runs so slowly that I have to run it in a dedicated virtual machine from our server farm on two XEON processors. And even then it runs slowly. What I need is for you to look at what I'm doing and find a way more efficient way to run the calculation. My thinking is that rather than having a formula in each cell, there would be one formula that writes to all the cells that are effected by the calculation. Anyway, I know that description is indecipherable, so I would be happy to show you the sheet I have now. Let me know if you can optimize it so that it runs very quickly.

Please read requirements before bidding. We have an MS Access DB that has forms and can print reports. We want this converted so user will have ability to enter the data via online form and all data is saved in Mysql database. Must be setup so users can be added and given permission rights. The current access file allows reports to be printed so you must replicate this. All data must be transferred to Mysql. We realize there are programs to convert MS access to Mysql so that should not be an issue for anyone with expert knowledge. The forms in MS Access use Visual basic so you will have to create forms that match the ones it currently has. You can use any open source frontend or backend as long as it is high quality and functions according to specifications. This will be designed with PHP and MySQL and it must perform all the same functions as the current program. The current forms AND reports within the Microsoft Access Database are done with Visual Basic in Microsoft Access....

We need someone proficient in Visual Basic and Excel to redevelop some internal tools used for financial tracking and reporting. We're a digital creative agency based in London who have a set of internal worksheets used to track and forecast spend on a range of client projects. The current system pulls in time-sheet information from an internal application built in .Net. The worksheets import the information and distribute the data across time intervals for analysis and tracking. The existing tools work well but we need to reconfigure some of the individual worksheets so that the data is displayed and analysed in a different format. Another stream of work may include creating an export function to either another Excel sheet or to an external application. .Net knowledge would be an advantage as would experience of financial / project workflow.

Seeking a vba expert who would be able to suggest possible answers for some issues from the top of their head (unfortunately no access to program to test). I have an excel file which Intranet users can download from a sharepoint site. The excel file has vba codes that runs when the file is being opened and also can connect to a sharepoint list to query some data. While the file and codes run fine on my pc and some users, a few users are having the following issues: (a) Can't find project or library. (b) Could not find installable ISAM (when trying to connect to a sharepoint list to perform a new query) For issue (a), when the file is downloaded and saved it works, but when it is opened directly from the Intranet sharepoint link it crashes (I have tried to disable some references and I could then run the macro). Some Background: Each month we get an excel document from a supplier called a Packing List. This Packing List document contains a list of the items my client purchases from a supplier in Germany.
