First, the autodiscover function is not working and when I use the manual setting function, I get an unable to connect to outlook server. Not necessarily looking for a long-term consulting project; really need someone to come in for a day and fix/rebuild our existing Sharepoint install. We have an installation of Sharepoint Foundation 2010 that we are hosting internally on a box running VMware 5.1; Windows 2008 R2 64-bit. The box is maybe 3 ½ years old, but with virtual machines, shouldn't matter; it's an older system but there should be enough memory & headroom. This is the second server we've hosted SP on; we first rolled it out in 2006/2007. We had a consultant set it up at that time and we now believe it may not have been the best install. The site did not have a fully-qualified address (until we changed it a month ago) and was frequently difficult or impossible for remote users to access. You needed to be behind firewall to get in at all, and even then needed to sign in repeatedly. We did purchase a secure certificate and a fully qualified domain recently, which has solved some problems and created others...

We are looking to create a system of organization to keep track of the items we are working on and the status of those items. It should be usable by all three of us simultaneously. We would want to be able to create hundreds of tasks and have them sort themselves (such as change color, move itself to another sheet when closed, and be able to automatically respond to the status we apply. I am launching a self publishing platform in which authors will upload their manuscript via "back office" type of form. They will include all relative data through a form and the files that they need to upload. I want that data to go into my cloudant database, which will then be accessed by my VA who then inputs that data into our publishing fulfillment company.
