I am looking for someone to implement a GPS based tracking system in C or C++ for an embedded ARM Cortex-M processor using a Venus 8 GPS receiver. Embedded experience is not a requirement for this job, but it would help. To run well in an embedded solution, your code should assume only a single precision FPU, prefer 32 bit integer types, align all data accesses, use memory sparingly, avoid duplicating code, no exception handling, and limit dependencies. The code should be clearly commented, include unit tests covering all significant scenarios and error conditions, and be well organized. No code should be copied or ported from any location. A description of the tracking algorithm is available in pages 41 to 53 of   [obscured]  /sites/default/files/RHedgecock-Dissertation.pdf. I suggest breaking up the work into the following phases.
