Looking for an engineer who can design a 1080 P miniature video camera with wifi and GPS capabilities. Camera must be under 400 grams (.9 lb), be able to record and broadcast at least 3 hours consecutively on one charge, live stream captured footage via internal wifi network, compensate for camera shake either through software or engineering, be trackable like a GPS if lost, be shock, cold, and heat resistant, be splash proof, and small enough to fit on the bill of a baseball cap. At least 30 minutes of video will be stored temporarily to camera to eliminate buffering times Camera image will be viewable live and saved on a smart phone or tablet up to a distance of 50 meters/150 feet Camera will also be required to link to other cameras of same type in order to act as a "repeater" to extend range and broadcast it's video as well as the other camera videos to the smartphone or tablet. 6 final prototypes will be required, along with all the sketches, blueprints etc. necessary t...

Review and sign off on my design. (You must sign an NDA. And ideally you have Errors & Omissions insurance, though this is not strictly required; please indicate whether you do.) I've designed a PCB: 47mm square, 0.8mm thick FR-4 dual-sided PCB with four (4) 3W LED emitters. Each of two series of two emitters is driven with 1.2A by an identical buck driver circuit that is fed by +12V DC. Two layers of 1-ounce copper with thermal vias as prescribed by emitter mfr's datasheet. Whole bottom layer is ground. NTC thermistor (near one emitter) for thermal compensation (foldback) and a pair of pads for external potentiometer for dimming. Uses two Diodes Inc. AL8805W-7 driver ICs. Based each of two parallel driver circuits on reference design in AL8805W-7 datasheet, but added network at CTRL inputs for dimming: Max voltage at CTRL is set by feedback from NTC thermistor and this is further scaled by external potentiometer. Also added a passive Bessel pi filter to reduce conducted EMI....

We need an experienced expert in electronics/automation that will help us design an electronic schema or automation set-up that will allow us to cover the following scenario: - we need to acquire data from a set of analogue sensors - 128 per module, with the possibility to connect multiple modules up to 10 (if it is possible to be more, the better), all being the same type of sensor (e.g. temperature, pressure, load, etc) and to transmit this information over a GPRS modem to remote server; - there should be a PLC or another electronic schema that will ensure that all sensors installed are read, and we do not need to have their values in the same time, so we might allocate say 10 minutes to read them all, one at a time - the data that the PLC will send through the modem should be similar to this pattern: ModuleID.SensorID,ValueofSensor; ModuleID.SensorID,ValueofSensor; etc we need the PLC to translate the analogue values into their actual value (e.g. temperature, pressure, weight, etc),...

I want to create a bracellet with technologi. The bracellet should have a vibrator that vibrates at certain times of the day. The times will change every day. The reason for the vibration is to tell the person to do something. So the bracellet should either have a button the person will press when he has done it, or better yet a motion sensor that feels if the person is doing it. I will tell more exactly what i expect when i find the right person for the job. It would be nice if the bracellet had bluetooth and you could create an app that each day sends the vibration-times to the bracellet. The app would either calculate the times or maybe it could get the times from a webpage that is already running. If the bracellet could do this without the need for an app, that would be better. I am looking for someone that can either create the whole bracelet, or just someone that could just create the electronic parts that small that someone else could design and create the bracellet with ...

We have two components that need to be connected together with proper power and programming interfaces. The PCB needs to be no larger than 2in x 2in. Ideally we would like to have a PCB antenna (2.4Ghz ZigBee), but will settle for a chip antenna if it means space savings. The RFID antenna will need to be PCB. There also needs to be a connection for an RGB LED. ZigBee System-on-Chip: Atmel ATmega256RFR2 RFID: STMicroelectronics ST95HF Battery: two 1.5v AA alkaline LED: Generic RGB LED

I need to get quotes for the design of firmware for an arm m0 nrf51822 in C / C++ to act as a sensor assembly that can burst read several digital sensors (connected over i2c and SPI), and send them over to an android app that we have already built. I want to rebuild our i2c and spi libraries, as well as the sensor drivers (accelerometers/gyroscopes/etc) from the ground up. IDE can be gcc, uVision, mbed , probably a few others. Previous nrf51822 or bluetooth low energy experience is preferred. We could use help debugging our existing code that has read a similar sensor than our current one. This would be a remote, contract job. I would prefer paying per hour for a whle until we have a better idea of a fair price for a fixed quote. I have a budget of up to several thousand dollars right now, but want to develop piece by piece starting with basic connection to our sensor dev boards.

It is estimated that the information and communications technology is responsible from about 2-4% of all of the Carbon footprint generated by human activity. This corresponds to about 25% of all car emissions and is approximately equal to all airplane emissions in the world. With the proliferation of new devices and applications such as smart phones and social networking, it is expected that the communications traffic will increase exponentially for at least another decade. As a result, serious concerns about the Carbon footprint impact of this development have been raised. Current communications and networking systems and protocols were not designed with this consideration, and as a result, in many cases, a greenfield approach needs to be taken. To address this large and rapidly growing interest, the IEEE Communications Society has launched a new series on Green Communications and Networking to be published as special issues of IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications (JSAC)....

Hi all, I'm working on an idea for a startup and would like to do some customer discovery and validation before I commit more time, money, and energy to it. I figured I'd look on here and see if anyone out there would be willing to offer honest insight about the problem we're solving in exchange for some cash. About our idea: We are building an online staffing platform and community exclusively for hardware, software, and embedded system developers. The site consists of a repository for open-source hardware/software projects - from Arduino, Raspberry Pi, 3D printing, drones, version control for PCBs, to designs in sync with code, etc. The staffing is only one part of it - we also work with manufacturing partners to help get some of your products to market if they generate demand. Basically, hardware and software developers join forces to work on specific hardware projects. (Say John Smith posts a project to have two arduinos communicate using WiFi Direct and he is seeking help on ...

I need an engineer with experience is designing and prototyping computing hardwares or routing/switching or firewall devices to produce a PCB design for a VOIP server. The PCB design should include the bill of materials. I already have the manufacturer that would manufacture the devices but we need a base design to start with. The design would should have 2 versions, 1 version for small businesses/large homes and the 2nd version should be for relatively large enterprise. There certain component that must be in the design: Copper GbE Ports Console Port (RJ45) USB Ports Small LED screen at the front Minimum memory 4GB Minimum storage 40 GB hard drive FXO for PSTN connection Cooling Fan The design would take more of performance into consideration that storage. It would be useful if the person I would work with will have C++, Java programming skills and familiarity with Centos linux operating system in a networking capacity will be an added advantage. Hello, My company is seeking successful and dedicated chemists, engineers (primarily software and chemical) for work as independent consultants. The client I work for accepts ideas related to invention topics that are periodically released. These topics are high technology themes, many of them software and chemistry-based. As a contractor working for my company, you would submit ideas through my contract with the client, who would then screen your idea for intellectual property value. If selected for patenting, and in exchange for signing over the patent rights and working with a patent attorney (assigned to you) to produce the necessary documentation for patent filing, you would be awarded $5000. You don't have to file any paperwork re: the patents, pay any fees (at all, during any point) - the client company assigns counsel who work with you to refine your original idea into the best possible patent. Once patent protection is granted, the invention is brought to market thr...
