Hand drawn sketch of car display ramps ('as built' drawings from previous manufacture). Needs to be modelled & drawn in 3D CAD (ProE Wildfire 5) Drawings will be for future manufacture of parts. I need a executable developed to extract volumetric data from cad files. Initially this would need to input a CAD files e.g., *.stl file, solid works files, proE, or Autocad file and retrieve the length, width, and depth dimensions from each part in the files. Those numbers would simply be exported in XML format to a database for further processing. Some CAD files may simply provided readily available volume detail of the industrial part which needs to be extracted. This is not a project to create a viewer it's a project to extract quantitative data from the CAD file only. I have a functional prototype for a new piece of fitness equipment. I need someone with experience or knowledge of magnetic eddy current brakes that are used in fitness equipment ie: a magnetic spin bike. The braking system will need to be much stronger than a bike however. Once the braking system design is complete I will need a CAD.
