Problem: given a catalog business' operational data (orders, products purchased, product data, customer data, catalog mailings, online behavior, etc) can we answer these questions: Can we reduce mailings to a certain region/demographic/customer type and still maintain profits? How much of a reduction will result in what reduction in revenues/profits? What mailings/regions are most successful in generating sales/profits? How do we minimize mailings to customers who will already purchase? How do we predict which customers will purchase if they get a mailing? How can we model customer response (and create response scores for each) and change variables in direct mail operations to minimize costs while maximizing profits? I'd like to build your R model(s) into Tableau similar to   [obscured]  /watch?v=UAkC_Z6Ebqc If this interests you, can you please contact me to discuss your approach to the problem.

We've created an interactive dashboard that enables a user to navigate through a dataset by words in an open-text column. So, for example, if the data is from an employee performance management system the table might have a column of open text where the manager has documented the objective, a column with a rating score and other columns describing who the employee is (job function, gender etc). The user is to filter the structured data (e.g. ratings, details of the employee) by selecting key phrases in the text. This part is built & we can demonstrate before the start of the project. The objective of this piece of work is to create a more meaningful set of words / n-grams for the 'word cloud'. At the moment we've done some basic work such as stop-word removal / stemming / only showing words over a certain frequency but we feel there is still too much noise being presented. At the moment our analysis is being conducted in R and this would be preferred. However, we're open to other...
