I have an EA programmed which performs a certain function within the first few seconds of when the FTSE100 cash index starts trading. I have attempted to back-test, however, have been unable to do so for the following reasons: - My strategy relies on the futures price just before the market opens (e.g. 07:59:00) but on my broker the back-testing data does not appear to be accurate on a tick by tick basis. Other brokers like Alpari or FXCM don't have data before 8am. - When I got sample data from a data provider which does provide tick by tick data for some reason it showed different prices from those recorded by the broker itself Does anyone have experience in this and would be able to help?
