Summary: One of our clients has a website built on a proprietary CMS in RoR. Deployment to staging and production environments is managed by Capistrano and Git. Currently, deployment has broken due to changes in Gem on which the project depends. This Gem is a fork of a public project (bootstrap-sass), the fork being owned by Koh developers and hosted on their personal Github account. It would seem that changes in the repo may have caused the Capistrano deployment to break in our copy of the CMS. We have tried sidestepping these changes, but that has proven quite difficult. Instead we've started down a path of accommodating the changes in the Koh repo in our own code. This means upgrading certain packages, and making changes in our code to deal with those upgrades. Next steps: We need someone who can troubleshoot problems deploying with Capistrano. We do not have deep roots in ROR, so we need someone who knows it inside and out.
