There are two separate SQL tables - one which consists information of employees who are active in the system. It contains information like Employee joining date, grade etc. The other table consists of employees who have left the organization either voluntary, or by termination. There is no relation between the two tables. Therefore, if an employee who was active, say in October, will be in Table A till october end, and if he resigns in November, he will be in Table B, and there will be no record of that employee in Table A. The need is to calculate the Attrition Rate, as per the formula mentioned below - Attrition % = (No. of employees left the organization/ average employee headcount) X 100 Average headcount = (opening head count balance +closing balance )/ 2 Either have a SQL based solution or create measures on the tabular cube.
