I'm looking for support with verifying and expanding the backbone calculation for a sports probability calculator. I'm not a statistician myself, and am looking for some expert experience with a relatively straight forward calculation. Inputs begin with initial calculation looking for"potential" outcome score for an event happening based on a defined equation. Once defined, the 2nd key calculation is the one I need more help with: This takes into account 2 additional numeric variables, along with the 1st. End result of the calculation is the % likelyhood (probability) of that occurrence happening given the "potential" number from the first equation. I'm also looking for % ranges for the outcome score being better or worse than the "potential" number. Should be a relatively straightforward calculation with defined outputs.
