I am looking for an electrical engineer to help design a high voltage DC motor controller. The rest of the circuitry (processor selection, discretes, display, user interface, software, PCB layout, etc) is already being managed by our company. We are only looking for the motor control block. Brief specifications: -- Input voltage = 500V max -- Rated motor voltage = 90VDC (must also be compatible with 180V DC motor) -- Rated motor current = 28A max (more needed for start up) -- The motor only operates in one direction. -- Only one speed is needed -- Load is pretty consistent/changes gradually -- Standard industrial temperature and humidity ranges apply -- BOM cost must be considered but not extremely limiting -- We want one circuit board to be compatible with different motor types (1HP, 2HP, 3HP and 5HP) even if it means we have to change jumpers or use different firmware, etc. Motor datasheets and more information is available once the project begins.
