We're in the process of evaluating a VPN replacement for our remote workers who use PPTP today (via Windows RRAS). We're a small business, with 5 remote users and need to provide remote access for those users in our company network to access development systems, Servers for testing and various other needs.... Quickbooks share, etc... We're interested in a robust solution and would like to consult with someone that has experience implementing a firewall/vpn solution. We're considering installing a router/firewall/vpn "appliance" and have looked at a few different products. We would expect the selected freelancer to provide a document detailing 3 possible appliance options, their respective costs and details about each one. Along with that we would expect to see recommendations (both pro and con) for each device. In addition we would like to understand the software requirements for OS X, Windows, Android and iOS clients to access this new VPN. We would anticipate this eng...

We are setting up an internal security certificate server using AD-CS in a Windows 2008R2 environment. I need some outside expertise to fill in the gaps of what we're learning about this - especially related to best practices. I want to collaborate with you and learn from your expertise. Ideally, we would work to properly configure our environment via desktop sharing while simultaneously discussing on the phone. Goals: 1. Review and evaluate our AD-CS server. 2. Leverage the CS server to better secure our AD environment. 3. Implement certificates to laptops via GPO to authenticate through wireless network. 4. Use certificates for OpenVPN running as a Linux Virtual Appliance. This would obviously be broken down into several smaller projects. We would most likely work in collaborative sessions lasting 1-2 hours each.

We currently sell Asus RT-N18U as a pre-installed VPN Router running on PPTP protocol set up as the default WAN, so it is totally plug and play, The router is locked to the client so any assistance is provided by remote connection. We want to run Open VPN but can only set this up in the VPN Client area and there is no automatic reconnect to the VPN should the connection be broken. We know we can run asuswrt-merlin in more expensive routers which does give the facility we need. So we are looking for someone who can resolve this problem: How to run OPEN VPN in locked Asus RT-N18U as plug and play, so when we send to client they plugin VPN connects and stays connected. We don't want to go to DD-WRT or similar but may be open to suggestion.

Hello. We are looking for some consultation on a network design. This is consultation for design only, but has opportunity to turn into a separate configuration job at a later date. Looking for advice on equipment that should be added or removed based on the list/details below and the attached diagram (which is not 100% complete). [Example: Please try to find any potential issues with wrong fiber modules due to distance] Here are the details: The user count is approximately 600 (desktops, laptops and Cisco IP phones) with two locations (office and data center) connected via 100Mbps guaranteed MAN line with site-to-site vpn as backup. Servers will all be in the Data Center. Edge routers to be used as site-to-site VPN connection point between office and data center. Edge router at data center also to be used to connect to 4 other remote sites. Edge networks (router and ASA) will be used to provide internet access to equipment at their respective locations. I have a HP C7000 chassis with a BL365 blade running vmware 5.5. I would like to host SME servers on the blade that will have a VPN connection to each companies office. The position needed is for a network engineer that can provide the equipment spec and configuration needed to allow connections between the data centre and client offices. The client offices will be using cisco RV220w routers. The initial plan is to have a ASA 5515X in the data centre trunking vlans to the cisco 3020 blade switches. Need confirmation this will work and someone with the ability to configure 3020 blade switches and ASA to support VPN and VLAN's with one-to-one NAT applied. If this solution is not the best need someone to advise best setup.
