In its simplest form, the service should have three main entities: a user, a course and a lesson. Users sign up, buy courses and listen to audio lessons associated with courses. In subsequent development iterations, new features (and new entities) will be introduced, allowing users to plan and analyze their progress, use additional learning tools: taking notes, building up a visual dictionary, etc. The Rails app should only be a REST API backend, the frontend will be build with EmberJS and, probably, native apps. No HTML rendering on the server side. Here's a development plan, containing various requirements. Iteration 0 Rails app skeleton. Hello and thank you for checking my posting. I am at the preliminary phase of trying to spec this job. I know what I need, I am (quite) sure that it can be done using the Quickbooks SDK but will need your input on ideas to implement it... Attached an outline of our problem and the solution we're seeking. We are open to any methods of implementation as long as our result is achieved. We need to keep track of the worker's hours at work and on leave to calculate their incentive. For each person, when they are working, I need to know in which area they are working. Normally people work always in the same area, but some times there is an "event" that requieres them to change section and we need to keep track of that. People can work extra hours with a limit of 2 per day. When people are not working (vacation, sick, permit, etc) there are 2 types, one that is considered when calculating the incentive and one when it's not. Each day has 9 hours, so if someone didn't work extra hours the sum of his working and non working hours is 9.
