I am conducting a feasibility analysis to bring an inexpensive wearable fitness device (fitband) to market. The product I am interested in manufacturing is nearly identical to the MOOV fitband:   [obscured]  /us/moov-fitness-tracker-app-watch,review-2414.html The device I envision would require: 1) Motion Tracking: Invensense MPU-9150 (or MPU-6050) 2) CPU: Atmel ATmega32 or TI device used in Invense reference designs 3)Bluetooth 4.0: Nordic nRF8001 BLE 4)lipo battery with Microchip MCP73831 charging circuit (micro usb charge) battery life only needs to be around 3 hours since the focus will be intense sports and exercise. 5)Is a a volume manufactured cost of <$20 per unit possible? 6)dimensions roughly equal to ipod nano 6th generation (is there an existing case mold that could be leveraged?) No wristband would be required, just a square circuit board in a basic slim plastic case that could fit into a silicone band such as the ipod nano band (6th generation):   [obscured]
