My internet service provider is Comcast. I have the Comcast business gateway service. The modem/router is a Netgear cg3000dcr. Comcast recently installed the Netgear modem/router. Before it was an SMC device, but that device failed. I have a windows 2012 server behind the Netgear device. I also have an ASUS wifi router (I believe it is RT-AC66R. I have to confirm the model). Currently the ASUS router is just configured as a bridge for the WIFI functionality. The Comcast netgear modem/router is configured with DHCP. I need to allow remote users to access internal machines via RDP. I was just using port forwarding with the old SMC device and it worked fine. The new netgear device is not stable with RDP port-forwarding for some reason. It keeps dropping/reconnecting every couple of minutes. So I need a different solution.
