Hello Michael, My name is Rodger. I am working on 2 manuals right now that I will use to teach a class to the general public about real estate. The name of the manual(s) that I will base the course off of is that of an acronym and other words. I want to use the name for both manuals since they are similar. FYI - The reason there are 2 is because I started one and lost the file to a wet hard drive and after years of keeping it I plugged it in and I was able to recover the file and others that I thought were lost. The second file was written since I thought the original file was lost. I have no idea if I need to copyright the name/acronym, trademark it, patent it since it is like a system (manual & class) or do 2 of the 3, all 3, etc. I am having 2 Freelancers help me finish the files since they are 10 years overdue and I never knew this type of site existed. What would you do? What would the fees be to register the name/acronym to the manuals or to me as the owner or both?...
